Hi Everyone,
I have wheatish complexion. The colour of my lips are different from each other! As in the lower one is light while the upper one is dark. Now, I have noticed that many girls have lips like that and it is permanent and I can’t do anything about it. I don’t mind when I have not applied any lipstick, but when I apply lipsticks (those which I have), even then they look different. (I am aware of the fact that lipsticks look different on different people according to their lip colour). I would mention here that none of my lipsticks are matte (I am not found of matte but then gloss can help), which I think would solve the problem. So, finally my question is which brand can give me a nice, full coverage, pigmented, matte lipstick, which is also easy on my pocket as I am a student!!! I am particularly fond of shades such as Ice Tea from Maybelline Watershine and Desert Bloom from Maybelline Moisture Extreme. I hope you understood my problem.
Hey Vijaya.. I can understand your concern and my suggestion would be that you should try browns as brown color matches Indian complexion well and helps in hiding the spots.
You can try Revlon or Loreal. Their lippies are quite pigmented. I agree they are a little expensive and I personally dont advise college going girls to spend more money on cosmetics but I would also advise you to invest 1-2 GOOD branded lippies than buying multiple BAD lippies. As cheap lipsticks can do more harm to your lips.
One last word – always buy a moisturising lippy. Drying of lips leads to pigmentation!

for lip pigmentation..you can try using mac’s lip erase..i have heard great reviews on it!
for lipsticks try out colorbar matte lipstick range and faces satin matte..they have fantastic pigmentation and you’ll def find your color too!
Try the max factor lipfinity lipsticks – they go on super opaque and nullify the pigmentation – I have the same type of lips that u have – and these work great
i vouch for MAC Lip Erase…it really works well….and always try out lipsticks in the stores before buying…:)
Hey Vijaya, use a concealer on upper lip if you can before applying a lipstick..Faces Moisture Rich and Colorbar Velvet Matte are super pigmented and budget friendly 🙂

Hi Vijaya…I have the same problem. I ll advise you to keep your lips moisturised all the time. For remedy i ll suggest Mac lip erase or use any nude lip color on your upper lip which matches your lower lip color or simply use concealer. Revlon makes really good matt lipsticks. My personal favorite is Mauve it over by revlon 🙂
