Today’s review is on the Lipstick Queen Cupid’s Bow Lip Pencil in the shade “Metamorphoses.”

My Experience with Lipstick Queen Cupid’s Bow Metamorphoses Lip Pencil:
Packaging: The product comes housed in a chubby lip pencil which is conveniently packed in a colorful cardboard box. The box contains the shade, name and other details about the product and I must say, the box is as interesting as the product itself. It also includes a complimentary sharpener, which works well too.
Shade/Pigmentation: Lipstick Queen describes the shade “Metamorphoses” as coquettish coral and I would second them. It is a beautiful, bright, bold shade – orange with red undertones. The shade is vibrant and apt for the summers. It instantly brightens my face and while I wore this, it fetched me a lot of compliments too. 😉
Application: The application is easy and the product is a lip liner and lipstick, both. It is easy to apply and does not bleed or feather. I have tested it in the scorching summers of my hometown, Jaipur and the product stood up to all its claims. It applies like a dream and gives a velvety semi-matte finish and does not settle down into the fine lines. However, prepping your lips prior to application is a good idea while wearing any lip product. It wears well and is a good balancing product. With my dry lips too, I do not feel the need to apply the lip balm while the product is on.
Staying Power: The staying power is mind-blowing as well. It stayed on me for 6-8 hours depending on the food intake. It did fade a bit after meals but did not leave my lips bare. The best part is that it doesn’t transfer much. Once the product settles down on your lips, there is very little transferring with hot liquids and I love this quality in any lip product. With my MAC prep + prime lip primer, it stayed on me for the whole day, literally. It was like apply once and forget all the worries about reapplication. Total love!
There is only one thing which I do not like about the product, which is that the cap doesn’t close nicely. I have had instances with the pencil where it colored my handbag too, along with my lips, so I have to close the cap real tight.
