Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo Review

Hope everything is fine on your side! It’s really heart breaking to see how our brother nation, Nepal is struggling hard against nature’s fatal calamity! On the other hand, it is motivating to see our Indian armed forces and citizens doing their bits to provide relief and help to Nepali people. My hubby and I donated relief money to medical aids flying to Nepal and our bay area Indians are also collecting used clothes, toys and medicines for people in Nepal. Anyway, today I am also here to talk about my hair care regimen which is constantly getting my love & attention. I was looking for a change from my usual hair care routine when I picked this shampoo last year and now, I am on my way to get third one.There is nothing I would regret about this product other than its hefty price which will be the only reason (for me) to replace it at some point or the other (though, I will stick to it till winters arrive). My Experience with Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo:

Well, I travelled with this big bottle all the way long, to & fro and not a single drop of the product leaked onto my packed goods or clothes. This pretty much explains how sturdy and leakage proof it is with close shut flip top cap and narrow opening to control the flow of the product inside. It does smell artificially sweet & slight citrusy but it’s not overpowering.

I like the fact that a little product goes a long way for my medium length hair. I usually apply shampoo in diluted forms with 5 parts water and 1 part shampoo depending upon viscosity of the
product as well. Hence, I need 2-3 drops for my long hair and it forms rich lather even after diluting in water. I am also impressed the way it gives me squeaky clean scalp and hair with no oily residue behind unlike other shampoos. I just need one wash to clear off dirt, gunk and oil off my hair as well as scalp with no dry scalp and/or frizzy dry hairs.

Naturally, I have oily scalp and slight frizzy hair and this shampoo seems perfect match for my weird hair type as I never suffered fly away or frizzy hairs after using this shampoo. Moreover, it does give the density & volume to my slightly flat hair which stays for good 3-4 days and I am good to go with no styling or simply blow dried hair. It gives a natural shine and luster to hair which does not feel sticky at all and I do see that my hair fall is also under control, may be because they is less frizzy and more soft & manageable hair now a days!

The only issue so far is that we may need 2-3 washes to clean oil treated hairs. I usually apply oil concoction on weekends, a night before washing and I do need 2 washes for clean & clear scalp and hair. But, it is fine with me as long as it gives me frizz free, healthy, shiny hairs which it does. Even if I use it without oil treatment, it does not rip off natural moisture of my hair, I see soft shiny and jet black hair.

Luckily, I didn’t feel the need of hair serums anymore after washing hair, unlike earlier except during occasions when I need to style them. I am pretty sure this shampoo is good for every hair type as it is way mild on scalp, but tough on dirt, gunk from first wash provided we oil our hairs in moderation. I am already on the verge of finishing my third bottle, though its price bothers me and it might be the reason I replace it some day or the other! I would definitely recommend it to every beauty!

• It cleanses scalp & hair in just one wash.
• A little drop goes long way to clean my medium length hair.
• It does not rip moisture or essential oil off our hair or scalp.
• The bouncy, healthy luster stays for 3-4 days or sometimes even till our next wash irrespective of oil treating our hairs or using serums.
• I never used serums ever since I have started using this shampoo other than for special occasions.
• Quite user friendly and travel friendly packaging.

Cons of Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo:

• It does contains chemicals which might be bothering.
• It does seem little pricey even with number of benefits.
• I do need 2 washes after oil treatment not always, though.

Verdict:
Well, apart from last two cons, I am pretty happy with this purchase and won’t mind getting it again. However, I have heard that we should change our hair care and skin care regimens twice or thrice a year and hence, I might replace it for a while as I have been using it for the past 4-5 months. I do feel that we may get similar benefits in lesser costly brands as well though personally, I will always prefer using it over other products.
