L’Occitane Aromachologie Relaxing Shower Gel Review

Hi Beauties,

After the review of the revitalising shower gel by L’Occitane launched recently, today I shall be reviewing the relaxing shower gel. L’Occitane had a relaxing shower gel in its itinerary previously, but they have changed the formula and the packaging, and have come up with its “Revitalising” and “Relaxing” range in their “Aromachologie” line. I believe this one is for evening-time showers, when you really need to relax your body and calm your senses after a hard day at work.

L'Occitane Aromachologie Relaxing Shower Gel

Product Description:
The distillation of essential oils is at the heart of L’Occitane. A process that captures the highest concentration of a plant’s benefits, it was many years ago in Provence that our Founder, Olivier Baussan, first distilled rosemary and lavender. Our new Aromachologiebody care collection combines essential oils to offer effective products with proven well-being effectiveness.  Made with essential oils, this soothing shower gel provides a true feeling of well being. It transforms into a fine and delicate foam, which gently cleanses the skin without drying. Its soothing aromatic scent is 100% natural.

My Experience with L’Occitane Aromachologie Relaxing Shower Gel:

Packaging: It is the same as the “Revitalising” one. This shower gel comes in a dark-colored plastic bottle with a small lid. The lid has to be flipped open for the gel to be poured out. All information is written on the bottle, both in English as well as in Braille (as is customary with L’Occitane). The only way you can differentiate between the two is by the color of the script. While the Revitalising shower gel had script written in orange color, this one has the script in blue print.

Color and Fragrance: This is a transparent shower gel, as opposed to the Revitalising one, which was slightly yellowish in color. Fragrance wise, I loved the minty smell of Revitalising one. This Relaxing shower gel has a nice mild lavender fragrance. It really soothes your body and calms your senses.

Consistency: A slightly thicker than runny consistency, it comes out easily from the lid opening on pressing the bottle.

Results: This is a SLS-free shower gel, hence it does not foam much. If you like a lot of foam, you will really need a lot of product; and that is a complete waste. It is better to use it with your wet loofah to get better foam (if you are so addicted to foam). However, I found the best way to use it would be to use it as a bubble bath. A little amount produces lots of bubbles and then you can really soak yourself in the bath with the most exotic and spicy lavender fragrance. I use a small amount of product and find it cleans me up nicely, even without the foam. It is really easy to wash it off, and the skin feels really soft post shower. The skin never feels dry or stretch at all. That may be due to presence of so many essential oils in it. However, I always use a moisturizer post shower all through the year, but in this season, even if I skip the moisturizer, it is no big deal. I am personally in love the mild lavender fragrance it has. Sad thing is that the fragrance does not last very long.
