During my recent L’Occitane haul, I also got their two shower gels that they have launched recently – the Revitalising shower gel and the Relaxing shower gel. Now, as the name suggests, I infer that the “revitalizing” one is meant for morning time and the Relaxing one is for the evening. Today, I will be reviewing the revitalizing shower gel.
Made with essential oils, this invigorating shower gel revitalizes and gently cleanses the skin without drying it out. With its fresh scent, it provides an energizing boost to start the day. 100% natural scent with proven energizing effectiveness. Apply to damp skin, lather and rinse.
INR 1390/- for 250 ml product.
My Experience with L’Occitane Aromachologie Revitalizing Shower Gel:
Packaging: This shower gel comes in a dark-colored plastic bottle with a small lid. The lid has to be flipped open for the gel to be poured out. All information is written on the bottle, both in English as well as in Braille (as is customary with L’Occitane).
Color and Fragrance: The product is light yellowish – almost a glue kind of color. It has a nice minty fragrance which really invigorates your senses in the morning and wakes you up from your remnant slumber.
Consistency: This has a slightly thicker than runny consistency; however, squeezing the bottle gets the product out easily enough.
Results: This is a SLS-free shower gel, hence it does not foam much. If you like a lot of foam, you will really need a lot of product; and that is a complete waste. It is better to use it with your wet loofah to get better foam (if you are so addicted to the foam). I use a small amount of product and find it cleans me up nicely, even without the foam. It is really easy to wash it off, and the skin feels really soft post shower. The skin never feels dry or stretchy at all and that may be due to presence of so many essential oils in it. However, I always use a moisturizer post shower all through the year, but in this season, even if I skip the moisturizer, it is no big deal. The fragrance does not remain long on me, which is a bit disappointing, since I really like the original mild minty fragrance of this shower gel.
