L’Occitane Bonne Mere Gentle Body Wash Review
I have a confession to make. As much as I love to experiment with makeup, I love to try bath and shower products as well. I usually don’t wait for a bath product to get over to try another. So, my bathroom counter is filled with different shower gels, bubble bath, soaps, shampoo, etc. I pick the body product according to my mood. For example, when I want a really relaxing bath, I would pick a fragrant shower gel and on a dull day when I need a quick shower, I stick to Dove soap. Some of my shower gels were about to finish. So, I thought I would share my views about them before they completely got over. I am going to start with L’Occitane Bonne Mere Gentle Body Wash – Honey. It also comes in “Milk” variant. So, let’s get started.
Enriched with softening and nourishing honey, Bonne Mere Gentle Body Wash Honey melts onto the skin, gently cleansing and moisturizing. Great for the whole family,* this creamy formula leaves the skin soft, hydrated and lightly scented. Tested under dermatological control, this hypoallergenic body wash is perfect for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
#8 for 2.5 oz.
My Experience with L’Occitane Bonne Mere Gentle Body Wash:
Bonne Mere is a range of products from L’Occitane, marketed as gentle enough to use on sensitive skin and even on kids above 3 years or age. They have soap, body wash, hand wash and moisturizer in this line. They come in two variants – Honey and Milk. The one I have is the travel size version and it came in a set. The packaging is a hard plastic bottle with aluminum flip cap. The flip cap shuts so tight that it’s truly a travel-friendly bottle and the 75 ml size is so ideally travel size.
The body wash is a light yellow color liquid. It is neither very runny nor too thick. It has a very mild floral scent which would even suit sensitive skin as well. Though it is a mild smell, it lingers on the body for some time after using.
It lathers pretty well and I do not need a lot of product to produce a desired amount of lather using a loofah or washcloth. It wouldn’t produce much lather if used with hands though.
It washes off very easily without making skin feel slippery afterwards and my skin feels soft and supple. You know those white dry patches you see on the skin after bath if we fail to apply a moisturizer, that doesn’t happen with this. No white dry patches on skin with this body wash.
Not all body washes are safe for small kids. My kid is too young to use it on her, but if you have kid(s) of age 3 and above, you can just pack this one body wash while travelling for the whole family, it saves a lot of space. I will do so when she turns 3 years old.
Let me put down the pros and cons of this product:
Pros of L’Occitane Bonne Mere Gentle Body Wash:
- Gentle enough for sensitive skin.
- Has a mild floral+honey scent.
- Keeps skin soft and supple.
- Does not dry out the skin.
- Lathers pretty well.
- Can be used on kids of 3+ age.
- Tight flip cap avoids spill during travel.
Cons of L’Occitane Bonne Mere Gentle Body Wash:
- No cons.
This is truly a gentle and effective body cleanser, nothing fancy here. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a gentle cleanser for whole family.
