My thoughts on L’Occitane Bonne Mere Gentle Cream for Face, Body & Hands – Milk

If you might remember, I recently reviewed the Loccitane’s Bonne Mere Gentle Body wash. Loccitane’s Bone mere product line is made for the whole family. They are mild enough that anyone from age 3+ can use these products.

I actually got a sample size of this cream as a GWP from L’Occitane . After trying the sample, I knew I wanted to buy the full size. And ordered 2 of them during a sale 🙂 . Now I’m on my second tube, which will be over soon (My husband uses it everyday and he loves it too !!).
This comes in a white squeeze tube with rotate cap. You have to rotate the cap in one direction to get product out of the tube, and in opposite direction to close it. Not a very secure design to toss in a bag. Though it may not open by itself, I’m a little skeptical about it. And the tube has to be kept inverted and my husband always forgets to close the lid. Which might lead dust to enter the tube. They could have just had a flip cap to make life easy 😐

The product is a soft white cream, with a very mild powdery smell to it. It is surely mild enough to be used on sensitive skin. The texture of the cream is very light and soft. I use a pea sized amount for my face. It is very easy to spread on skin and gets absorbed in jiffy, leaving skin soft and supple. It doesn’t make skin greasy or tacky.
On days when I want some light moisturizer, I pick this cream. And I top it with a tinted moisturizer or a foundation with SPF. It wears so beautifully under makeup. Since summer is here on full swing, I cannot avoid SPF. Thus I’m avoiding using just this cream when I’m going out. I wish this had SPF in it, without changing the texture and fell.

Though I have normal to combination skin, my skin has been behaving crazy lately. I was getting dry spots around my nose and on my cheeks. So this cream was not able to handle that. I had to use a heavier cream to sooth the dry spots.

Though they say that this can be used on face body and hands, I use it mainly for my face due to its price factor. I would use it as a hand cream while I’m traveling with this. That way I can avoid carrying a separate hand cream. Works well for hand and body as well.

Let me sum up the pro’s and con’s of this product I’m my view.
