L’Occitane Delice de Fleurs Kit

L’Occitane Delice de Fleurs Kit

Hi Beauties,

My review today will be on the gift pack I purchased from L’Occitane just before Christmas. It is from the super cute and drool-worthy “Delice de Fleur” range.  Well, my office is about half-an-hour walk from the shopping mall in which L’Occitane is situated.  So, as you can expect, I drop in very often after work and on some days, I just take a long lunch break and just “pop in” just to check out.  However, I do checkout other brands such as TBS, Lush and Crabtree&Evelyn as well.

L’Occitane Delice de Fleurs Kit

So, on this particular day, after a hard day’s work, I strolled into the L’Occitane Boutique and saw that there were some limited edition products on display, namely “Delice de Fleur” and “Delice de Fruits.” Both these lines had shower jelly, body lotion, EDT, solid perfume, hand crème and lip gloss.

The Delice de fruits line also had candles. After trying the testers, I liked the Delice de Fleur more. The Delice de Fleurs range had a flowery fragrance and the Delice de Fruits range had a fruity (read mandarin/orange) fragrance as the name suggested. I already have quite a few “fruity” body washes and body lotions from TBS.  I also checked out the L’Occitane India website and looks like these have been introduced to India this year.

The kit I bought contained the following:

  • 75 ml Delice de Fleurs Shower Jelly.
  • 75 ml Delice de Fleurs Body Milk.
  • 30 ml Delice de Fleurs Hand Cream.

Price:

$ 24 (AUD) for the kit.

Delice De Fleur Shower Jelly

I was first introduced to the concept of “Shower jelly” by TBS.  I once bought the shower jelly called “Whoosh.”  So, I thought this shower jelly will also have the same consistency. However, it doesn’t; this product is much lighter than a jelly, but a bit thicker than a shower gel.  The fragrance, according to the L’Occitane website is “a powdery scent of rose and violet petals, delicately draped in sugar.”

Product Description:

The unique texture of Délice des Fleurs Shower Jelly, which transforms into rich and creamy foam when mixed with water, gently cleanses the skin. The body is left perfumed with the delicious and powdery fragrance of crystallized petals, including May Rose and Violet leaf absolutes.

My Experience with L’Occitane Delice de Fleurs Shower Jelly:

When this product comes in contact with water, it transforms into a normal shower gel. I actually feel this product does not dry out my skin, but it actually moisturizes it. I absolutely love the fragrance; rose and violet have been mixed together correctly.  I would describe this fragrance as “innocent and romantic.” (I don’t know how both of them go together though :rose: ).  The scent makes me feel extremely feminine.  So, I use this when I go out on dates with my husband or on special occasions. I think this is one of the fragrances which will suit ladies from any age group.

Delice De Fleurs Body Milk:

The fragrance in the body milk is a bit stronger than the shower jelly. I never use the body lotion alone. I layer it over the shower jelly.

L’Occitane Delice de Fleurs Body Milk

Product Description:

Délice des Fleurs Body Milk, containing May rose and violet leaf absolutes, is enriched with grape seed oil and Shea butter, which helps to nourish, moisturise, and soften the skin.  Its fluid and light texture is quickly absorbed, enveloping the body with the delicious and powdery fragrance of crystallized petals.

My Experience with L’Occitane Delice de Fleurs Body Milk:

It is very light and gets absorbed very easily.  You can get dressed soon afterwards without waiting for the body milk to get absorbed. The fragrance works well if layered on top of the shower jelly.

Delice De Fleurs Hand Cream:

This hand cream is exactly the same as the shea butter cream hand cream, but with a violet and rose fragrance.

L’Occitane Delice de Fleurs Hand Cream

Product Description:

Enriched with Shea butter, Délice des Fleurs Hand Cream, containing may rose and violet leaf absolutes, helps to nourish and soften the hands while leaving them perfumed with the delicious and powdery fragrance of crystallized petals.

My Experience with Delice de Fleurs Hand Cream:

As you can see in the picture, I have almost finished using this product. This hand cream is always in my beauty bag which I carry everywhere. The cream is nourishing and moisturising and also smells wonderful.  This also works well when layered with the shower jelly and body milk. The moisturising effect is very similar to the shea butter hand cream, but this just smells better.

What I Love about Delice de Fleurs Kit:

  • All three products smell amazing, gives you a feminine charm.
  • I love the packaging and the colour of the labels, the hand crème is very stylish to carry around in a handbag.
  • All three products are moisturising and the shower jelly does not dry out the skin.
  • I really feel pampered when I use all three of them, works very well when layered.
  • The fragrance lasts for a reasonable amount of time when layered.

What I Do Not Like about L’Occitane Delice de Fleurs Kit:

  • The fragrance does not last too long if used individually, but I expected it to last longer since it was L’Occitane and not a drugstore product.
  • The term “shower jelly” is a bit misleading as the consistency is much less thicker than a jelly, so if you expect to play with the shower jelly, then you’ll be disappointed.

IMBB Rating:

4/5

Will I Purchase L’Occitane Delice de Fleurs Kit Again?

I will purchase again if it is available. Since it was a limited edition, I am not sure till when this will be available, but this product is available in India now and in some other countries, it is being introduced as a Valentine’s Day limited edition. I think this product is much more suitable for Valentine’s Day than for Christmas. O:)

Note:  I went in the following day and bought the solid perfume for $9. The EDT at $44 was too expensive for me.  I will review the solid perfume soon.

I recently bought some stuff from C&E for the first time ….I used to ignore their store thinking it was more apt for “older” ladies ……but i was so wrong. :nono: :nono: Even though some fragrances like lavender and Rose are preferred by older ladies they actually cater to all age groups :eat: :eat: :eat:

    1. I know it is soo tempting… :high5: :high5: :high5: …. I only started buying from them last year but since them most of my daily products eg,shampoo, conditioner, cleanser, toner, mask ans well as not so necessary produts :balle: have been replaced by L’occitane.:worship: :worship:

The whole range just makes you feel good…..I then again bought heaps more last december which i havent started to use yet, waiting till the others are over….

The good thing is since it is so expensive I dont waste any of products…..

Next time when I travel I want to buy them from duty free,… The girls at the store always change and they tell me that I know more about their products than them and joke 😉 that i should be working there, but I have a F/T job.
