L’Occitane Desert Rose Hand Cream Review

Hello Beautiful People!

Today’s review is on a hand cream from L’Occitane.  Now, we all know L’Occitane has some great products and they fascinate me a lot. After reading the rave reviews, I tried the shea butter hand cream from L’Occitane, but was not at all impressed and I know how I have finished that tube.

I don’t know but I could not believe that I did not like a product from L’Occitane. So, I decided to give it one more shot.  I went to the store and saw that they had limited edition hand creams and the one that instantly grabbed my attention was this Dessert Rose Hand Cream. I smelled and applied it on my hand from the tester, it felt amazing, but sadly, it was not in the stock, so I went again after a couple of days and bought it.  Read on to know if I liked it or not!!

My Take on L’Occitane Desert Rose Hand Cream:

There are some products you have to try because they are cult products; L’Occitane hand cream is one of them. When I first tried this hand cream, I loved the scent of this cream. It is very rosy, somewhat tangy, creamy and very feminine. It is not very subtle, but neither is it overpowering.  It did last for a couple of hours and I kept checking if I had the scent on me 😛

L'Occitane Desert Rose Hand Cream

It is a small 30 ml tube that is very handy and easy to carry, but not my style (very boring).  It comes with a small cap. I always drop the cap after applying, which is one thing I don’t like as it is so small.  I always keep this in my bag and apply on my hands whenever I feel like throughout the day. It is a thick cream like all L’Occitane shea butter creams. It is white in color.

I have to apply hand creams generously due to dry skin and I must say it sinks in pretty quickly and leaves a pleasant scent of Moroccon roses. Every time I apply this hand cream, it seems I am giving spa to my hands. It has 20% shea butter and shea butter is excellent for treating dryness. So, that is a great plus for a hand cream.

It keeps my hands soft and supple. It is very moisturizing. It has almond and honey extracts too. All the ingredients add up to give a nice moisturizing feeling on my hands. This tube lasted me less than a month, but I know I used it a lot.

Benefits of the Main Ingredients:

Shea Butter: Revitalizes, Softens and maintains skin moisture. Naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F which are some essential vitamins needed for good skin balance.
Dessert Rose: It is a South African shrub also known as Moroccan rose, known for its soothing properties.
Honey &Almond: These too are considered to be the best skin conditioners.

Now, I apply it during the day as well as night, but some people might not like to use it during the day. They can use this at night.

Pros of L’Occitane Desert Rose Hand Cream:

  • Has 20% shea butter.
  • Awesome tangy rose scent that lasts a long time.
  • Very moisturizing.
  • Easy to carry packaging.
  • Impressive list of ingredients.

Cons of L’Occitane Desert Rose Hand Cream:

  • They should add this one to their permanent collection.
  • Don’t like the cap and the Borolene type of packaging 😛

Would I Be Repurchasing L’Occitane Desert Rose Hand Cream?

Yes, if I can find it in the stock at the store.

Overall, it is a luxurious hand cream. I do recommend it for sure. Great purchase for winters.
