L’Occitane Green Tea Shower Gel Review
By Ritu Rajput from The Indian Beauty Blog
Hey Everyone!
I am writing for IMBB after a long gap today, and I do have a few reviews lined up for you all! Today, I am reviewing the L’Occitane Green Tea Shower Gel, which I recently picked up during their flat 40% off winter sale. Yes, it was a steal for me! Read on to know my take on this one.
Product Description:
Green tea shower gel gently cleanses both body and hair. Delicately perfumed, it provides softness and shine to your hair and well being to your body. Contains a natural green tea extract.
Price:
Rs. 1050 for 250 ml (I bought it during the sale :P)
Packaging:
L’Occitane Green Tea shower gel comes in a tall plastic bottle, which is transparent, and has a dull silver cap. The cap has both the flip-top and the screw-on options for you to use. Since the bottle is transparent, you can always see how much of the product is left inside. The packaging is travel friendly, and very classy.
Availability in India:
At L’Occitane stores and also online.
Ingredients:
Phew, long list. Please refer to the image below.
My Experience with L’Occitane Green Tea Shower Gel:
This shower gel is a gel-based product, with a light greenish tinge to it. When the flip-top is used to dispense the product, I almost have to totally invert the bottle to be able to dispense, so you can get an idea about the consistency from there.
The fragrance, which for me is one of the most important things in a bath product, is a pleasant citrus and green-tea blend, and is very relaxing for the senses. The fragrance, however, is mild, and does not over-power the senses.
It fades away in some time after the shower. It lathers moderately on its own, and lathers more when used with a loofah. What I also love is that it leaves the skin feeling clean yet not slippery or even dry and stretchy.
Pros of L’Occitane Green Tea Shower Gel:
- Relaxing fragrance of citrus and green tea.
- Lathers well.
- Leaves the skin feeling squeaky clean.
- Does not dry out the skin.
- Does not leave the skin slippery.
- Travel-friendly packaging.
Cons of L’Occitane Green Tea Shower Gel:
- Not really a con, but the price is on the higher side.
Will I Buy L’Occitane Green Tea Shower Gel Again?
Overall, I quite like this shower gel for the fragrance and how it treats my skin, but the price tag may keep me from re-purchasing!
IMBB Rating:
4.5/ 5 (-0.5 for the price tag).
