L’Occitane Hypoallergenic Ultra Comforting Mask Review
By Rashmita
Hello Beautiful Ladies,
How is the week coming along? Well to begin with, this is my first post on IMBB and I am tensed and excited as well. I just hope the beginner’s luck is with me and kindly bear with my raves and rants 😛 Today, I am going to review one of my favorite skin care products, i.e., L’Occitane Ultra Comforting Mask.
Product Description:
The combination of shea butter and organic cotton naturally soothes and relieves sensitive skin. L’Occitane Ultra Comforting guarantees for sensitive skin:
- Hypoallergenic products dermatologically tested on sensitive skin.
- Ingredients specially selected for their purity and their mildness.
- Strict limitation of the number of ingredients to minimize the risk of allergies.
- A formula free from fragrance, colorant, alcohol, preservatives.
Ingredients:
How To Use:
Apply generously to the face and neck leaving it for 5-10 minutes, then gently remove any excess with a dry tissue. Use twice per week, as needed.
Price:
Rs. 2090 (I got 30% discount, so do your mathematics!) for 75 ml.
My Experience with L’Occitane Hypoallergenic Ultra Comforting Mask:
I had no plans of buying any beauty stuff when I stepped into Shopper’s Stop in South City Mall, Kolkata, but there was a magical word calling out my name – “SALE.” I gave into the temptation and walked into the counter which never fails to impress you. The lovely helpful SA did a swatch on my wrist and I was like “wow!” For me, this is a life saver. Whenever I get a dry patch, my skin cries out for moisture, and I feed it with this 😛 Whenever I have a party to attend, this is the product I reach out for, might use up all of it very soon. This product is also used by my sister who has combination skin that tends to be oily and she also swears by it.
Texture:
Once you take the product out of the tube, it will feel like a gel-based cream with micro-granules which disappears when massaged onto the skin. You can see the texture in the swatch given below.
Before massaging:
After massaging it in:
This product has done wonders to my skin; it gives a hydrated glow to my skin. The glow remains for 3-4 days if I do not use any harsh scrub on my face. There is a small catch, instead of a dry tissue, I take a cotton pad, spray plain water and wipe off the excess from my face, mostly because I do not like to rub a dry tissue on my face. You can use dry/wet tissue as per your choice.
Pros of L’Occitane Hypoallergenic Ultra Comforting Mask:
- Superbly moisturizing.
- Tube packaging – travel friendly and I have the control of the amount of product that comes out.
- No funny smell.
- Does not break me out.
- Paraben free.
- Ecofriendly packaging, reusable paper and tube.
- Very comforting, if you have those ugly dry patches – so true to its claim.
Cons of L’Occitane Hypoallergenic Ultra Comforting Mask:
- Very expensive for the amount of product you get.
- Packaging is medicinal, look-wise.
IMBB Rating:
4/5 (0.5 deducted for the steep price, 0.5 for medicinal packaging).
Will I Repurchase L’Occitane Hypoallergenic Ultra Comforting Mask?
Surely, with the winters coming, I know how my skin is going to misbehave. This is now a must-have product for me. All dry-skinned beauties look no further for the perfect mask this winter and oily skin beauties, please try the sample before purchase because this does cause a dent in the pocket.
