L’Occitane Immortelle Brightening Moisture Cream

Loccitane Immortelle Brightening Moisture Cream

Claims : Immortelle grows abundantly on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and has an exceptionally long life. Its flowers produce an essential oil that boosts collagen synthesis, stimulates cutaneous micro circulation to enhance cell renewal.

• Bellis perennis brightening extract, combined with a vitamin C derivative to make the complexion uniform and more radiant,
• a moisturising fig extract to deeply nourish skin and light reflectors for glowing skin.

Skin is intensively moisturised, smoothed and firmed. Day after day, the complexion is brighter, more even-toned, it attains a youthful glow.

My Experience :

This cream has worked miraculously on my skin. You guys remember my Elizabeth arden 8 hour cream disaster? It’s been almost a month I have been using this cream and I have mostly good things to say about it. First, it repaired my damaged skin (rashes, redness) to a large extent within 4 hours of using it. And with 4-5 days of regular usage, my skin was super clear.  The texture is light gel like. It feels sort of fresh when applied. It gets absorbed quickly without leaving any shine or greasiness behind. My dry skin sort of soaks up the cream within a minute or two and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized.  After a month of usage , my skin does feel more even , smooth and soft. I use it both day and night. Although I feel this would not be best suited to be used during the winter time . I’d need something more moisturizing. For summers, I love how it feels. It has a very light herbaly fragrance, which actually smells quite refreshing to me.

Now there is one problem with this cream. It is the worst thing to apply underneath the makeup. It has a tendency to peel and flake if you layer it on. I have no clue how that happens since the cream gets completely absorbed once you apply it. Especially if you apply powder foundation, all the peeling makes the skin look really bad. 😐

I am slightly on the edge whether I’d repurchase this or not. My skin has definitely shown results with its regular usage but I am still more inclined towards their Almond Cream. This cream is more appropriate for those with oily combination skin . I would still say that you do a sample test before your purchase it.

Overall, it is a good cream except the weird flaking part.

  1. You explain so well Rati, a clear and crisp review..
But i would skip this for the price 🙁 its very expensive for me

          1. :* this is gonna be one of my long-term investment waale creams Rati 😀 am currently eyeing my first lipstick purchase from Inglot, soon!

  2. Oooh! Nice! But somehow, that “flaking” bit just confuses me. :/
idk…mixed feelings about this one. Anywho, great review once again!

  3. Wow…this would be great for oily skin. I remember how bad an experience you had with the elizabeth arden cream…:(

  4. Hi Rati,

I have been using this cream regularly for the past 4 months, and it has really done wonders to my oily & prone to break-out skin. I use this as my night cream. It is super effective in calming down the pimples. If i get any redness or pimples on my skin, i apply a layer on it and seriously it doesn’t even allow the pimple to form a head. The pimple just subsides without any pain. That’s just awesome. I have never experienced anything like this in any other moisturizer or cream. And mainly it doesn’t leave my skin oily as my face tends to get oily within minutes of applying any other cream on it. I will use it all through my life. It’s definitely worth the price. Oil skinned people can definitely get this without any second thought. I vouch for it.

    Thanks,
    Sudha
