L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Cleansing Foam Review

Ola bonita chicas!

With the summer fast approaching, I start switching my makeup and skin care to lighter grease-free products that help me cool down in this heat. I want to introduce you to a fantastic cleanser I picked up about two years ago when trying to combat the North Indian heat and pollution scene. Face washes and cleansers are something I go through so easily, but this is one staple and I find myself coming back to again and again, all for good reason. Grab your neembu paani and let’s power through this review!

L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Cleansing Foam

Packaging:
This cleansing foam by L’Occitane comes in a bright blue and yellow with silver accents plastic packaging. I love the colours on it and I was so inspired by these colours when I saw them that I had Indian suit made in this blue, yellow and silver combination too! 😛 The fuss-free pump works well and dispenses the foam easily. The plastic cap on it shuts securely and has not given me any trouble during travel. This is the second company I have seen, after Etude House, which has Braille dots on the reserve side of the bottle to make it easily identifiable for the visually challenged.

My Experience with L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Cleansing Foam:

I bought this product two summers ago when I had landed in India in the heat. Usually, my face behaves well in the summer time, literally sweating out all the toxins from my body, but this time around, I was breaking out badly. All the dust, dirt and pollution were causing not only my face demons to emerge, but also clogging pores, giving me blackheads and random heat and insect bite allergy patches all over my face from the travelling. It is safe to say that it was not a good summer for me or my face! I knew I needed a light and fuss-free cleanser and was ready to buy even a medicated one from a pharmacy. But luckily, I came across a L’Occitane store and the sales guy after hearing all my problems took me straight to the shelf with the “Immortelle” collection displayed.

He then showed me some fancy French flowers, they might have been “Immortelle,” I can’t remember! But they were lavender in colour and he told me that these were the real thing and not artificial flowers and they never age! Although this line was marketed as an anti-aging line, which had me a bit worried because I starting thinking- gee how old do I look, he told me this was their best-selling product and that it would solve all my issues. Boy did it!

Facial foam

All the flower/fruit extracts in this come from organic farming as stated on the back of this bottle. I absolutely love this cleanser for the summers because it got rid of all my problems. With regular twice a day use, I saw my blackheads disappear, my pimples calm down and my face just relaxed. This is a very light foam and even when you work it into your skin, it does not feel like a heavy cleanser and does not “foam up” too much.

Facial foam

It effectively removed my summer time makeup in just one pump. My dull skin felt soft, clean and smooth. Because I wear more makeup in the winter time, I feel the need for a creamier foaming cleanser then, so I have only ever used this is the summer.

My sensitive skin has changed with the use of this gentle cleanser that lasts so long because all you need is just one pump. I also really like the 300 ml refill pouch which is a great way to save money. It leaves my skin silky soft after each use and my skin never has that stretched drying feeling afterwards. I am absolutely 100% satisfied with this!

  1. Very well reviewed Samrita. I like how you have explained all the changes it has made to your skin. 🙂

  2. Thank you guys! I really do hope people staying in India try it out because it is the one product that is cheaper in India than anywhere else- strange but true!

  3. Hi Samrita,
Excellent review! I am in India and I have been using it since the last 2 years. I am especially fond of it during the summer months.During winters I switch to a Clinique creamy cleanser. This bottle works wonders truly… 🙂
