L’Occitane Rose Des Neiges Hand Cream Review

L’Occitane Rose Des Neiges Hand Cream Review

Hello Beauties,

Today, I am going to review my current favorite hand cream which I picked up a couple of months ago from L’Occitane. L’Occitane products have always been very tempting to me, especially with the kind of exquisite ingredient list they use in their products. I picked up Rose Des Neiges Hand Cream during their online sale and have been using it since then and absolutely love it!!!

L'Occitane Rose Des Neiges Hand Cream Review

A little bit more about L’Occitane as a brand:  “L’Occitane is a brand proposing high quality and sensorial beauty products.  Natural active ingredients with proven traceability.  Plant active ingredients, which are often organic and of controlled origin (A.O.C.) from the lands of Provence or Mediterranean.  Authentic and respectful products A formulation following the principles of phytotherapy, handing down of culture and local know-how, respect of people and the environment.  Formulas and fragrances combining effectiveness with sensoriality.  A rigorous formulation charter, patented complexes of natural active ingredients, effectiveness and tolerance of formulas tested under medical supervision, textures and fragrances inspired by the Mediterranean art de vivre.” Impressive isnt it?

What Does L’Occitane say about Rose Des Neiges:

Formulated with Shea Butter and Grapeseed Oil, giving your hands a soft and silky touch in the winter time.

My Experience with L’Occitane Rose Des Neiges Hand Cream:

Rose Des Neiges is a limited edition product. It comes in an attractive tube packaging with a gorgeous white rose drawn on the front side which looks quite pretty to me 🙂 Also, I find the tube packaging more convenient as I can control the amount required easily and its hygienic as well.

The texture of the cream is very light and creamy. Its not thick at all and does not feel heavy on the skin. The cream has tiny shimmery particles very similar to those illuminating facial creams we get which gives a nice healthy glow to the skin. Since the cream is bit runny in texture, very little is required. Due to its texture, it spreads easily and gets absorbed instantly into the skin! Afterwards, the skin feels soft and silky, there is no oily residue whatsoever. The skin on the hand feels well moisturized and hydrated and has a subtle glow due to those illuminating particles.

Rose Des Neiges

The best part about this cream is the fragrance! Its seriously to die for! The first time I used, I expected it to have the normal rose smell but its completely different than any rose product I have ever used! The description of the product says it contains white rose, so I think the fragrance may be from white rose and not regular red roses. The fragrance is not intense at all but very mild, sweet and pleasant, just so refreshing! The fragrance stays on me for about 4 hours during which I wash my hands at least twice.

The only con I feel is that its quite expensive product if used every day. I use it only on special occasions or if I am in the mood to pamper my hands 🙂 Also, the effects lasts only for 4 hours on me, wish it was more long lasting!

Pros of L’Occitane Rose Des Neiges Hand Cream:

  • Amazing rose fragrance.
  • The texture of the cream is light and runny and gets absorbed easily into the skin without making it oily or greasy.
  • Light-reflecting particles which give subtle glow to the skin.
  • The cream does a good job of hydrating and moisturizing the skin.
  • The skin feels smooth, silky, and radiant!
  • Pea-sized amount is good for each hand.
  • L’Occitane has an online store, so its easily available if you want to buy online.

Cons of L’Occitane Rose Des Neiges Hand Cream:

  • Limited edition product.
  • Expensive if used everyday.
  • Extremely dry skin may not like it and may require a more moisturizing product.
  • L’Occitane products are not easily available in all cities.
  • Wish the fragrance would have been long lasting.
