L’Occitane Shea Butter Cocoa Flower Hand Cream Review

Hello Beauties,

Today, I am reviewing a hand cream from L’Occitane. It is a limited edition hand cream called “Shea Butter Cocoa Flower.”  These limited edition hand creams come in a very tempting packaging. So, I had bought all three. I have Dessert Rose, Hibiscus and Cocoa Flower. All three have distinct fragrances. I have given the Hibiscus one to my sister and kept the Dessert Rose and Cocoa Flower with me.  Read on to see how much I love Cocoa flower hand cream.

My Experience with L’Occitane Shea Butter Cocoa Flower Hand Cream:

As I mentioned in my previous review, “L’Occitane – Dessert Rose Hand Cream” that I have very dry hands. I need to apply some hand cream all the time. This Shea Butter Cocoa Flower Hand cream is my favourite. Initially, when I heard the name, I thought it would be somewhat chocolatey, but to my surprise, it is better than that. It has cocoa flower, which leaves a hint of cocoa scent. It produces cocoa butter. Cocoa Butter has antioxidant and moisturizing properties. It also leaves a nice glow on the skin.

It comes in a standard tube packaging with a small black screw cap (that I don’t like because I keep dropping it all the time).  The design on this tube is very retro. I really love the print on it.

It has a very fresh milky, floral, nutty scent. The consistency is as usual thick, as it is has 20% shea butter in it.  It is white in color. I apply this all the time during the day and night. It forms a nice moisturizing coating on my hands. It does not feel greasy at all. It is quick to get absorbed and leaves the skin smooth and supple. I have very dry hands, so no matter  how much I apply my hand cream, my hands are dry again after 2 hours or so, but this one does its job efficiently.  It keeps my hands soft until I wash them.  It could be a little thick for people with oily hands. Some people may not like this as a morning hand cream or during the day time due to its richness, they can use it at night as a treatment. However, in winters, it is a great investment.

L’Occitane Shea Butter Cocoa Flower Hand Cream

Though I like travel-friendly packaging for hand creams, but a bigger tube is always economical, but L’Occitane doesn’t have big tubes in this range.

L’Occitane also has a body cream in the same line, both would be a good combination.

Pros of L’Occitane Shea Butter Cocoa Flower Hand Cream:

  • Very refreshing scent.
  • Moisturizing.
  • Packed with shea butter.
  • Very portable packaging.
  • Lovely and attractive packaging.

Cons of L’Occitane Shea Butter Cocoa Flower Hand Cream:

  • Pricey, but can’t expect any less from L’Occitane.
  • That small screw cap is difficult to manage.
  • It doesn’t have SPF.
  • No larger economical sizes.

Would I Repurchase L’Occitane Shea Butter Cocoa Flower Hand Cream?

Yes, I will until I can find it in the stock.

Overall, I love this hand cream. It is one of the best hand creams. I would surely and confidently recommend this to all the hand cream lovers!
