Skin type: Oily-sensitive, acne prone

Hello my friends,
How are you doing today? I am back again to share another permanent shade from Lorac Alter Ego Lip Gloss set I own; sadly the rest of the four gorgeous shades seem limited edition. The shade which I will review today is a beautiful dusty rose color named as CEO I am already floored by the texture, finish and pigmentation of these glosses. So let’s read more about it.

My Experience with Lorac Alter Ego Lip Gloss – CEO:

gloss
The gloss comes in transparent plastic tube packaging with doe foot sponge applicator attached to the beautiful blue patterned cap. Overall I like its user friendly and travel friendly packaging. I like its subtle vanilla fragrance which is way mild for my senses.

shade

The shade “CEO” is described as a dusty rose which again looks deep brown gloss in tube but it comes up rosy pink on my lips pretty much to my liking. I am sure it will suit a variety of Indian skin tones. Like other glosses, the texture of this gloss is equally light-weight and gel type which easily spreads on my normal dry lips without any tugging. The sheer hydrating formula is forgiving enough for dry lips I believe while it makes them softer and youthful further.

However, I see that it slightly sets in lip lines; it does not highlight the lip lines hence I can easily look over this issue. Moreover, I love how it plumps up my lips making them juicy, shiny for decent hours keeping them soft and supple; it takes care of minor flaws such as mild dry patches as well as minor lip pigmentations. Even though it comes up semi-opaque on my lips, it definitely blurs light spots on my lips up to a good extent which makes it suitable enough for beauties with mild to medium lip pigmentation I believe.

I am not very hopeful about the staying power as the gloss transfers easily and stays put for decent 3-4 hours leaving soft supple lips behind.

lipswatch

I totally agree that we have seen many good formulas in lower end brands; hence I cannot say this is by far the best of all formulas I tried, but I cannot deny the fact that it is better than many high-end glosses I have tried so far. I feel that leaving those mild disappointments like its tendency of sitting in lip lines and the staying power, there is nothing I feel concerned about to be honest.

Pros of Lorac Alter Ego Lip Gloss – CEO:

• A semi-opaque, light-weight hydrating dusty rose gloss.
• It comes up way pigmented on lips with a semi-opaque finish.
• It effortlessly slips on my dry lips without emphasizing my lip lines and/or dry patches.
• It does tend to mildly settle in lip lines but we can easily take care of it.
• It also blurs lip pigmentations up to a good extent.
• It is hydrating enough to keep my lips moist, juicy as long as it stays on lips.
• I feel equally soft lips even after it fades off.
• It provides a smooth, plumped up make over to lips without bleeding or feathering around.
• It stays put for decent 3-4 hours.
• It does not leave any nasty stain behind.
• Quite attractive and travel friendly packaging.

Cons of Lorac Alter Ego Lip Gloss – CEO:

• Staying power could have been better.
• It does transfer a lot.
• It slightly tends to sit in lip lines.
• Pricey.

IMBB Rating: 4.2/5
