Lorac Tantalizer Highlighter and Matte Bronzer Duo Review

Hi guys!

I have been a huge fan of Lorac since I have been using their palettes. Here’s the review of Lorac Tantalizer Highlighter and Matte Bronzer Duo.

Lorac Tantalizer Highlighter and Matte Bronzer Duo

Ingredients:

Lorac Tantalizer Highlighter and Matte Bronzer Duo

Packaging:  The packaging of this product is very sleek and compact. No, literally looks like a compact. It is gold and highly reflective – you don’t even have to open the mirror to see yourself, but it does have a mirror on the inside. It has a secure click closure. It is very travel friendly I would say.

Highlighter: The highlighter is light pink with shimmer. It has some chunky shimmer as well, which does not look good when you pile it on. On the other hand, I feel I have to pile it up to get it to show, but because it is a pink highlighter, it does not work for olive or warm toned skin. I feel it looks ashy on me when I do that. So, I am not a fan of this highlighter at all. The only thing I appreciate is that it is not very pigmented, so you can build it up to the level you want, instead of TheBalm one, which is extremely crazy pigmented.

Matte Bronzer:  The bronzer side of the duo makes it really worth the money for me. It is a couple of shades darker than me and again is not crazy pigmented, so again I can control the amount of darkness I want. I already have a bit of natural contour (when I am wearing nothing on my face, my cheekbones cast a bit of shadow there already), so I am not into the contouring trend. The main reason for me buying this product is because I have a lot of foundations that are a couple of shades lighter than my skin tone. I want to use a bronzer to correct that.

Consistency/Texture/Blendability:  Both the highlighter and bronzer are very powdery to the touch, but they are also very soft, that is they are relatively finely milled. Their products being so powdery almost seem like a trademark of Lorac. Come on Lorac, you can do better! That being said, they blend out relatively quickly. You have to put in a little bit of effort to build them up and blend them out. I definitely enjoy using the bronzer side much more. I don’t have to fuss around too much with it.

Pigmentation: I would say both have medium pigmentation. This can be a good or a bad thing, depending on your preferences. If you are a beginner or if you are simply out of time and are hurriedly putting on these powders, it is easy to go overboard with a highly pigmented product. Since they don’t have that, you can still get the look you are after. Otherwise, you might find this aspect annoying.

Would I Recommend Lorac Tantalizer Highlighter and Matte Bronzer Duo?

I wouldn’t recommend the highlighter side of this duo at all. It is cool toned and has pretty average pigmentation. The bronzer is very warm toned. So, I guess it depends on your needs.

Pros of Lorac Tantalizer Highlighter and Matte Bronzer Duo:

  • Sleek packaging, travel friendly.
  • Both powders blend out quickly.

Cons of Lorac Tantalizer Highlighter and Matte Bronzer Duo:

  • There is a lot of product kickup in the highlighter shade.
  • Consistency is powdery.
  • Highlighter has chunky shimmer.
  • If you put too much highlighter on, it can look ashy on warm and olive skin tones.

IMBB Rating:

3.5/5
