Recently, I hauled all the 4 shades currently offered in the Lorac Light Source Illuminating Highlighter range. This review will be on the shade “Twilight.”

My Experience with Lorac Twilight Light Source Illuminating Highlighter:
Packaging: The packaging is similar to the Lorac Color Source Buildable blushes that I had reviewed here on IMBB a while back. The case is sleek, compact yet sturdy. I love the see-through top and the sticker denoting the shade below. The case closes via a magnetized system securely. I like the Lorac color source blushes, but I love love these highlighters by them.
Texture: This highlighter is a very smooth, finely milled powder. It’s more powdery and lacks the touch of creaminess that one might notice with Becca shimmering skin perfectors but that doesn’t make this Lorac highlighter any less effortless in terms of application. It glides on buttery smooth and works well with both of my highlighting brushes (Wayne Goss Brush 15 and Real Techniques Setting Brush). There is a slight kick up when you dip your brush in them.
Pigmentation: I love the fact that this highlighter is easy to build. You can easily control the amount of glow you want ranging from subtle to full party glow. I find the intensity much easier to control than with my Becca highlighters which gives me an intense glow even when I am not necessarily looking for one.
Shade: The shade “Twilight” is a warm tone peachy-rose gold. This shade will suit all skin tones but will look particularly flattering on deeper skin tones. I find this to be most similar to the ever popular Becca shimmering skin perfector in shade Opal (Becca one is a touch more beige, less rosy). Both the Becca highlighter and this Lorac one yield a similar frosted sheen.
Staying Power: This highlighter has a pretty good staying power on my skin. It stays without fading for 6-7 hours and does not emphasize the texture of the skin or look of pores nor does it cling to any dry patches. I am also pleased with the fact that this product comes with a decent price tag so if you are looking for a dupe for Becca highlighter, you can check out this one.
Overall, I am very pleased with this product. I absolutely have no hesitation recommending it.
