I was looking for a expensive(mehenga wala) kajal, because my requirements were, a highly pigmented and more importantly smudgeproof & waterproof eye pencil kohl. I had never tried any products from Lord& Berry eye makeup before, so I spotted this online and thought of buying it.

My experience with Lord& Berry black wardrobe eyepencil – Cool Black

Packaging:- It comes in a black coloured simple wooden pencil, which needs to be sharpened. The brand & shade name is written on the pencil’s body. The packaging looks decent and is travel friendly too.I wanted a kohl pencil but got this instead nevertheless started using this as a kajal pencil. But for the review I tried it applying this on my upper lids also, it glided very smoothly and looked beautiful. The texture of the eye pencil is smooth, no tugging and pulling during application. But it’s neither too soft and nor prone to breakage. Being so creamy it doesn’t feels heavy or greasy on the lids. But it makes me sad because as the name suggests this eye pencil is not smudge proof at all. It smudges very quickly if you touch or rub your eyes. So avoid using it as eyeliner in the upper lashline,yes if you don’t want that racoon eyes, always use it as a kajal on the lower lashline. But the pigmentation is really awesome one single stroke gives a solid color.

Colour:– The colour named as cool black is not actually black but is totally dark navy blue with very tiny purple shimmers which are easily visible, and make the eyepencil look like it has purple undertones to it,but actually it is due to the the shimmers in it. It is good if you don’t like that intense bold black colour, you can opt for this shade.

Staying Power:- This part of this pencil didn’t impress me, the staying power of it as a eyeliner on upper lashline is below satisfactory it stayed upto 2 hrs on my eylids. After that it faded off. But on my lower lashline it stays upto 2-3 hrs and so, I should say the longevity on the lower lashline varies, sometimes it stays more and less also.

• Texture is smooth and creamy
• Pigmentation is amazing, as you can see above.One stroke gives a bold,intense line.
• Glides on really easily, yet doesn’t feel greasy.
• Perfect for day & night wear. If you dont like that dark black kajal or liners this is great.
• No tuging or pulling during application
• It is good for a smoky eye makeup as it smudges and blends in easily.

Cons of Lord & Berry Black Wardrobe Smudgeproof Eye pencil – Cool Black

• The wooden pencil can hurt you, so always keep it sharpened.
• Being so creamy it smudges easily,in a single rub.
• Staying power is very poor.
• Its a bit difficult to remove, you will need a makeup remover to remove it completely.

Recommendation:– Definitely, its a NO. Do not go for this range(I am not talking of the brand). They have other lots of varieties of eyeliners and pencils, go for them. Black wardrobe has a different collection for different needs. Well I am not going to purchase it again.

IMBB Rating:- 2.5/5. Wanted to give 3 but the staying power stopped me to do so
