Hair Type: Thick, wavy, frizzy
I am trying to switch to products that are not too heavy on chemicals. When I came across the L’oréal Paris Botanicals Fresh range, I had to pick up their shampoo to see if it works on my thick, unmanageable hair.

My Experience with L’Oreal Botanicals Camelina Smooth Ritual Shampoo:
The shampoo comes in a brown plastic bottle with a black pump. The bottle is not completely opaque so you can see the amount of product inside. The pump has a locking mechanism, so no unwanted spillage. Though the bottle itself is a little bulky and not travel friendly, I still love the packaging.
The shampoo is white in color with a consistency that is a little runny. It has a very pleasant fragrance. I need two pumps of the product to completely wash out any oil I might have applied. The shampoo lathers well.

Post hair wash, my hair and scalp feels clean. The shampoo doesn’t dry out my already dry hair, but it does not hydrate my hair either. I still need a deep moisturizing conditioner and hair serum to tackle the frizz and tame my hair. It does add shine and does not weigh my hair down. I cannot say if it adds any bounce to my already voluminous hair! It makes my scalp slightly oily the next day, so it might not suit women with oily scalp. I have also noticed that the shampoo somehow tends to straighten my wavy hair a little.

This shampoo might work well for normal hair, but women with thick, dry hair can definitely find a better alternative at this price. I wouldn’t be repurchasing this shampoo.
