L'Oreal Botanicals Coriander Strength Cure Shampoo Ingredients

My Experience with L’Oreal Botanicals Coriander Strength Cure Shampoo:

The shampoo comes in a brown bottle with a black pump. There is a lock mechanism on the pump. The round shaped bottle is a bit bulky to be a travel companion. There is a lot of information on the product. There are 4 products in the coriander range: shampoo, conditioning balm, mask and hair serum. I picked up all the products except the mask as the range claims to provide ‘strengthening’ benefits.

L'Oreal Botanicals Coriander Strength Cure Shampoo Review

The shampoo is clear and thick. It has a medium thick consistency and the pump is a bit tight to dispense the liquid. It can be a bit of a hassle to use it in the bathroom with wet hands. The smell is pleasant but doesn’t last long. The shampoo lathers pretty well. Since the shampoo is thick, I usually mix it with water and then use it. The shampoo cleanses the hair well.

The shampoo doesn’t wash off the oil well and I need to use it twice to remove the oil but it does make the hair dry. The product, when used on normal hair, does add some moisturization to the hair. The shampoo adds a light bounce and doesn’t weigh down the hair. The shampoo keeps the natural texture of the hair intact. It doesn’t straighten the hair or create static to the hair.

L'Oreal Botanicals Coriander Strength Cure Shampoo Cap

The product is meant for fragile hair and claims to strengthen the hair. However, this works only when used in accordance with the other products from the range. The shampoo is not as hydrating as I expected even though it is an oil-based shampoo. It dries the hair a bit and you can notice the squeaky clean feeling when washing the shampoo off. However, it adds little moisture after I use the conditioner, so it must be followed up with a conditioner.

L'Oreal Botanicals Coriander Strength Cure Shampoo Swatch

The product contains soy, coriander and coconut oil concoction and it works a bit on strengthening the hair. The product doesn’t work on split ends and this can be clearly seen; the ends pop out which I usually fix with a serum. The product works well with all kinds of hair. The product does make the hair a bit greasy the second day and washing the hair every alternate day is a must. The product is free from paraben, silicones and colourants, but it does contain SLS.

So, summing up:

Pros of L’Oreal Botanicaliander Strength Cure Shampoo:

• Cleanses the hair thoroughly.
• Adds bounce to the hair.
• Adds a little moisture to the hair.
• Doesn’t change the natural texture of the hair.
• Claims to strengthen the hair.
• Free from paraben, colourants and silicones.

Cons of L’Oreal BotanicalsCoriander Strength Cure Shampoo:

• Doesn’t soften the hair.
• Doesn’t control oil.
• Doesn’t wash off the oil effectively.
• Contains SLS.
• Makes hair dry.

IMBB Rating: 3.5/5
Would I Repurchase/Recommend L’Oreal Botanicals Coriander Strength Cure Shampoo?
I would recommend it if you have normal hair. But for dry hair, it might not be a good option. This bottle will last me a long time and after that I would probably purchase something else.
