L’Oreal Chrome Intensity Eyeshadow: 182 Blue Jean

L’Oreal Chrome Intensity Eyeshadow 182 Blue Jean

Its been a while since I wore my blue shadow because obviously its not an everyday colour. I would still wear it with a tiny little stroke peeping above the liner on an average day, but the look I did today is strictly for evenings for me where the lighting is not so bright and intense, because the shadow sure is, intense.  Thanks to my didi who doesn’t know zilch about makeup and still somehow manages to get me the best of best things and shades and I am fortunate also to review them on IMBB.

This range I am afraid is not available in India, but the “Chrome Shine” shadows, which are so similar are available and you can check out the swatches Rati shared and the Metal Plum shade I have reviewed.  They cost 450 rupees for a single and have some four to five shades to die for. They are one of the best available intense single shadows at the moment.

The shade I am sharing today is a blue shade called, “Blue Jean,” and it is a satin shadow with a soft and sheeny finish. The more I praise the intense shade pigmentation, softness, blendability, suitability for olive skin, the less it is.  I am amazed at how good this shadow is, one of the best I have used recently, the other great single I tried off late is the Maxfactor single that I have already reviewed.

The shadow is a perfect blue for me, smooth, intense, smoky, deep, buildbale, and everything I want from it. I think my sister has got me more than 5 of these, I have to review the rest soon, but let me sing praise of this one today. One single swipe on the finger gave me such a great colour that I had to shed it off before putting it on the lid, because it so intense. In spite of it being intense, it is very blendable and the quality is top notch.

The staying power is fine with me, at least five hours on a base.  I have simply used a dual foundation, wet-to-dry one from Avon as a base.  If I fill it on my lids only and skip the liner, it makes for a great smoky eye. If I want to go dramatic, I add some depth in the crease and put on falsies and I am good to go.  I love this shadow, more than anything else I have used this month.

Even though it is intense, there is no fallout at all. I was so amazed to see no fallout, as you can also see in the pics. I used it quite a lot to build it up for the pics, blended it too, but there was absolutely no fall out.

Can’t wait for these to come to India too (not here to the best of my knowledge).  I love everything about these shadows. You can check out the chrome shine ones available in India for 450 rupees for a single and check out the shades on IMBB first.
