L’Oreal Color Riche Blushing Berry Lipcolour Review

My mother is a big fan of L’Oreal and most of her vanity comprises of L’Oreal lipsticks. It’s the one brand she is a loyal customer of. The lipstick I’m going to be reviewing today is one I picked from her stash in the shade Blushing Berry. Read on to know why she loves this lipstick!

My Experience with L’Oreal Color Riche Blushing Berry Lipcolour:

So let’s talk about the packaging, it is really nice and classy with the golden body and the cap shuts with a click and a tight one, so it is quite travel friendly. You can easily carry it around it your bag. The mechanism is the usual twist up one. There is a ring like structure in the middle with L’Oreal Paris logo embedded on it. The whole bullet feels like some sort of elixir to me, and yes I love it!

The shade is mauve-red. It is for people who don’t like experimenting with bright lipsticks. It is a toned down red, but nothing close to dull. It is going to brighten up your face and surely doesn’t wash out the face, which is the case with many red lipsticks which have mauve-maroon undertones. It truly matches with the name, which is Blushing Berry. I personally like how L’Oreal matches the shade names with the actual shade of the lipstick unlike other brands, which have very misleading shade names.

The texture of this is creamy and glides on the lips smoothly without any tugging or pulling on the lips. It does not settle into fine lines of the lips. In the swatches you can see the beauty of the texture, I did not put any lip balm and no exfoliation of lips pre application. The pigmentation is great. About ninety percent color is deposited in a single swipe. For more intense color pay off, you can always layer on the lipstick and the result would be cakey or too heavy. It will look natural and pretty.

Unlike many creamy lipsticks, the lasting power of this particular lipstick from L’Oreal is comparatively better. It lasts around 4 around without any meals or snacking. It leaves a light tint after fading away.

However the only complaint I have is the fragrance of this one. It smells like cosmetic and drug store like. I cannot really describe it, but it’s safe to say that it is not very pleasant or fruity or any such sorts. Apart from these small nicks, I have no complaints! Ps- I know I have bad lips, it is very evident in the swatches. *sad* *sad* I wish I had a more defined cupid bow and bigger lips.
