My current love is “blue” these days. I have bought so many blue eye liners/kajals in the past days and I love to experiment with them now. This review is of one of those recent purchases of mine. Loreal is a well known brand and apart from that I liked the kind of blue it is, so I tried it on my hand, wandered in the store for a few minutes and then finally bought it. Read on to find more on this one.

In beautiful, wearable shades with a luxurious, intense formula combining oil and wax, Color Riche Le Khôl softly glides over the eyelid allowing you to achieve a long-lasting and intense colour result. You can use Colour Riche Le Khol on the inside or outside of the eyelid to draw attention. Ophthalmologically tested, Color Riche Le Khôl is easily removed with a standard make-up remover.
My experience with L’Oreal Color Riche Le Kohl – Deep Sea Blue:
It comes in a blue body (same as the shade) and transparent cap. The cap tightly fits in and thus it can be carried anywhere in the purse.
As I told you I love blues, but mainly blues on the darker side or the blues which are blue-green mix kind of shades like teal shade. This one is a deep blue shade just as the name says. It is neither too light for it to be counted in bright shades, nor too dark for it to be mistaken as black. It is matte with absolutely no shimmers. Basically I wanted a blue kajal; something I can use on my lower lash line and water line. I have many blues to be used as eyeliner on the upper lash line already but they sting badly on my waterline. So, since this one is on the concept of a khol, I picked it up immediately. Well, for the tip- it is soft for application, no tugging or pulling but at the same time does not break that easily, I mean the tip is fracture resistant. When you apply this one, it needs to be swiped 3-4 times, it is not as soft or gliding as those gel based eyeliners are. I did not have a very clean finish with it on the lower lash line. It does not sting at all- thank god for that. Coming to the staying power- it starts getting lighter after 2.5 hours but stays till 6 hours. It is not smudge proof but it never comes down or spreads on the lower lash line. It is ok for me, but people who have a habit of accidently poking their hands in their eyes may end up smudging this khol. Also this is not waterproof, this is water resistant.
So overall, for the price and the shade- I love it. Since it does not smudge or come down on its own, I am ok with it and would love using it often. The shade compliments my eyes I feel.
What I like about L’Oreal Color Riche Le Kohl – Deep Sea Blue:
• It is a beautiful shade
• It does not sting on the water line.
• It is safe to carry around in the handbag
• It is nicely pigmented
• Does not spread downwards when applied on lower lash line.
• It is decently priced.
What I do not like about L’Oreal Color Riche Le Kohl – Deep Sea Blue:
• It is not smudge proof, will rub off if you do spread it with hands.
• It is water resistant and not water proof
• It does not glide as smoothly as eyeliners meant for upper lash line.
