L’Oreal Color Riche Lip Liner Couture Berry Blush Review

L’Oreal keeps on coming up with new launches and, trust me, they launch really great stuff all the time! So from their new launches, I picked up 2 lip liners from the “Couture” range. I haven’t really been into soft pinks because all I was into were bright and poppy shades. So today, I have a soft and a subtle shade to review, which is called “Berry Blush”.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lip Liner Couture Berry Blush:

I really cannot resist new launches and this one had some of the prettiest shades, So, I picked 2 to try out since I have never really been into a lot of lip liners.

Packaging:
The couture lip liners look exactly like colour pencils with a cap. They are long and sleek initially which makes them super travel-friendly. I loved the pattern or call it the texture embossed over the packaging which made it look different from the regular color riche lip liners. The colour of the pencil is the shade colour itself which makes it easy to spot the shades if you own a few of these.

The cap stays on very tight and does not get separated at any point from the liner. I use a regular sharpener to sharpen this pencil and it gets sharpened nicely, but it leads to a lot of product wastage. Plus, I have just sharpened it twice so far and the size has become so small. Hence, I can easily predict that this will last me only a few uses which is why I would call it expensive.

Shade:
The shade “Berry Blush” is a gorgeous berry pink shade with some hints of mauve, which makes it look extremely beautiful and elegant. It actually brightens up my face really well, creating a romantic flush on my lips. But, it looks super subtle at the same time. It is an apt shade for daytime wear as for night-time I would prefer something brighter. It instantly transforms any look to a very feminine one. It will definitely suit all the outfits and will complement all skin-tones too. It won’t cover pigmented lips completely, but building it up will cover mildly pigmented lips. I highly recommend trying this shade because it is extremely pretty.

Texture and pigmentation:
The texture of the lip liner initially was very hard, but as I sharpened it, it became creamy. I stretch my lips and then apply it for a smooth application. At times, it is so creamy that a pointy piece of the lip liner just comes off. The pigmentation is quite buildable, one swipe would give a subtle tint and 2-3 swipes would make the pout super perfect and poppy. It does not settle into the fine lines and does not accentuate dry patches too. But it does transfer to cups.

Staying power:
It stays for around 6-7 hours without any meals or probably light snacks. And with full meals, it lasts upto 5 hours on my lips. After a meal, some colour gets disappeared and the colour mildly loses its intensity. But it also leaves a strong stain which stays the entire day.

Overall:
I would say that if you are ready to splurge this much amount for a lip liner, then go for it as the quality and the shade are awesome. It gives a perfectly defined shape to my lips.

• Color coded packaging
• Creamy and glides smoothly on the lips
• It covers the lips completely in 2-3 swipes
• A gorgeous berry rosy pink shade that looks super sweet, subtle and romantic
• Adds femininity to various makeup looks
• The shade will complement all makeup looks and skin tones
• Does not dry out the lips very much
• Does not settle into the lines
• Provides a nice definition to my lips by shaping them nicely
• Increasing the staying power of lipsticks
• Stays for 5-6 hours on my lips, and survives little meals too

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lip Liner Couture Berry Blush:

• The tip is creamy and breaks with pressure
• Sharpening leads to product wastage
• Will get over very soon since the size has decreased so much by sharpening it just twice
• Expensive because it will hardly last a few uses

Would I Repurchase/Recommend L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Lip Liner Couture Berry Blush?
I might try out other shades from the range. These liners are expensive, so I will hunt for something better than these. I totally recommend this variant because the quality and the shade are awesome. 

Conclusion:
No doubt L’Oreal products are expensive, but the ranges are amazing and totally worth the price.
