Hair is protected for visibly prolonged color radiance.
Hello Pretty Faces,
Hope you all are doing great. I am back with another shampoo review. Today, I am going to share with you my experience using L’Oreal Color Protect Protecting Shampoo. The one which comes in a red bottle.
So to start, I didn’t buy this shampoo, I got it on offer, free with L’Oreal Paris Hair Color. Since the hair color gives really awesome results, I was expecting the same level of results from the shampoo, but I am hugely disappointed. The shampoo (used with or without conditioner) appeared to be disastrous for my hair. Although, I do feel the softness in my hair immediately after rinsing off the shampoo, but it vanishes gradually as the hair starts to dry up and after a few hours, I feel the roughness in my hair. It totally weighs down my hair.
If you have colored or highlighted color in your hair, it’s even worse. I have blonde highlights in my hair and the shampoo made those few strands even drier, and full with tangles.
It comes in an attractive red bottle with a “tic-tac” type cap. The fragrance is just awesome, the only thing I just loved about the shampoo, and it smells very sweet.
The shampoo is white in color and the texture is fairly viscous and it lathers with very small quantity. It claims to protect your hair from the harmful UV rays, but the quality it gives to the hair after washing makes you want to wash it off immediately.
Pros of L’Oreal Colour Protect Protecting Shampoo:
- Beautiful fragrance.
- Attractive container.
- Claims to protect hair from UV rays.
Cons of L’Oreal Colour Protect Protecting Shampoo:
- Makes hair dry and rough.
- Makes colored hair very brittle, tangled and fragile.
- Doesn’t add shine.
- Weighs the hair down.
- Makes hair extremely frizzy.
- Does not add volume.
- Definitely doesn’t add radiance.
Do I Recommend/Will I Repurchase L’Oreal Colour Protect Protecting Shampoo?
I am really glad that I didn’t waste my money on this as I told you previously I got it for free with L’Oreal Paris hair color. This is one shampoo I will ask you all to stay away from regardless if you have colored hair or not. I strongly don’t recommend this shampoo to anyone. There are other alternatives (color protecting shampoos) available in the market which are far better and live up to their claims.
