My Experience with L’Oreal Colour Riche La Palette Nude – Nude 02:
Packaging: The L’Oreal Colour Riche La Palette Nude 02 is packaged in a rectangular black plastic case. The lid has a clear window which lets you see the colors in the palette without having to open the lid. The inside of the lid has a mirror, which is quite useful. The palette contains 10 shades in rectangular pans. The pans are quite generously sized. You get 17.5 gm of eye shadows in this palette.
The palette also contains a dual-ended brush with a sponge tip applicator on one side and a small brush on the other side. The brush is quite soft and is quite usable. While the brush is too small for all-over-lid application, it is perfect for the inner corners of the eyes.
On the back of the palette, there are 4 eye looks – Glamour Undone, Red Carpet Ready, Mauve Ombre and Sultry Smokey. There is a picture of each look with a mini-tutorial on how to achieve the same. This is very helpful for beginners.
Color and Finish: The L’Oreal La Palette Nude 02 contains a lot of purple-toned shades. This is a cooler toned palette with taupes, mauves and cool plums. The looks you can create from this palette are slightly on the darker side. You can create one or two lighter every day looks, but most of the looks would turn out to be darker due to the presence of more mid-toned, and deeper shades in this palette.
There are 6 matte shades, 3 shimmery shades and 1 satin shade in this palette. I am so glad to see the larger number of matte shades, especially in this purple-toned palette, as finding good matte purple eye shadows is really difficult.
Shade 1 is a shimmery cream with a peach undertone.
Shade 2 is a satin medium pink.
Shade 3 is a matte lilac with a purple undertone.
Shade 4 is a matte cool medium brown.
Shade 5 is a shimmery greyish taupe.
Shade 6 is a matte dark brown.
Shade 7 is a shimmery chocolate brown.
Shade 8 is a matte light pink.
Shade 9 is a matte purple.
Shade 10 is a matte black plum.
Just like the L’Oreal La Palette Nude 01, the formula of the L’Oreal La Palette Nude 02 is also wonderful. The eyeshadows feel very soft, smooth and silky. They are very easy to blend with absolutely no patchiness. Usually, it is very difficult to find good matte drugstores eyeshadows. You can find some good shimmery shadows at the drugstore which are soft and creamy, but the mattes are mostly stiff and chalky, but not so with this palette. The mattes are awesome and feel like the Lorac Pro mattes. They are so soft that you have to be very gentle with your brush while picking up the shadow on your brush, else you will end up with a powdery mess on your palette. Make sure that you tap the excess off your brush before applying on to your lids to avoid fall out.
Finish: The mattes have a true matte finish, without any sheen. The shimmery shades have a very muted sheen. They do not look shimmery on the lids at all and have more of a satin finish.
Pigmentation and Longevity: All shades have very good color payoff. You need very little of the eye shadow to get the actual color on your lids as you see in the pan. These shadows last for the entire day on my oily lids without any fading or creasing.

Cons of L’Oreal Colour Riche La Palette Nude – Nude 02:
Do I Recommend L’Oreal Colour Riche La Palette Nude – Nude 02?
Though the price may seem high for a drugstore eyeshadow palette, the quantity and the quality of the shadows justify the price. The L’Oreal La Palettes Nude 1 and 2 are some of the best drugstore palettes I have come across. If I have to choose between these, I would say go for the Nude 1, as the shades are more wearable for an everyday look. If you are looking for a purple-toned palette, the Nude 2 would be a wonderful choice.
