Hair type: Normally smooth, thin, straight hair with dry ends
Scalp: Usually normal scalp (but currently facing some dandruff issues)
I love trying out new shampoos and conditioners. L’Oreal is a brand that I have tried only a few times in the past. The reason is that its products are apparently full of chemicals and there’s absolutely nothing natural. Here is the review of a shampoo that my mom bought for me. This shampoo is for long and dull hair. Read on to know how it performed.

My Experience with L’Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Illuminating Shampoo:
As you can see, the packaging of the shampoo is pink, cute and attractive. The bottle, cap and flip top are in different shades of pink. This is the large size, and I am not sure if a smaller size is available. This bottle is not very travel-friendly as it is bulky and also because the cap doesn’t shut tightly.
As I have already mentioned, when you take a look at the ingredients list, it feels like you have opened your chemistry book. Only a few words say ‘wheat protein’ or ‘starch’ or ‘jojoba wax’ etc but they also come with the word ‘treated’ prior or after them. I can’t really say what the shampoo exactly smells of. But it is a nice fragrance for my nose. 😀 It’s a fruity or mouth-watering kind of smell that stays only for a while.
The color of the shampoo is white and the texture of the shampoo is a normal-creamy, which is not that runny at all. I hate shampoos that start to drip the moment I pour them on my palm. So that’s a good thing for me. I have medium length hair and just a two rounds of this shampoo is all I need to cover my hair and scalp. This shampoo gets easily rinsed off too. The first time I used this shampoo, it didn’t make my hair feel special till the time my hair was wet. But my hair became so shiny and smooth once it got completely dry. It was so soft and smooth that I could run my fingers through it.
Your fingers slide through the hair like a dream and that too with just a shampoo wash and absolutely no conditioners. What else could you have asked for? The shampoo did a good job of removing oil from the hair and scalp. It cleanses hair to a great extent as well. Coming to treating dandruff, though it doesn’t claim to help it, this shampoo has cleared out all the flaky cells from my scalp. The effects stay pretty well for around two days after which my hair becomes dry (I am happy for that as well :D). I am yet to try the conditioner from this range but I am quite excited about it too.
