Sulfates and other harsh chemicals have always been a very controversial issue related to hair care. Some women believe to keep on using their usual hair products predicting SLS/SLES won’t affect them while some stick to sulphate-free products. If you belong to the second category, I have a wonder product for you people today! Let’s see how this product works for my moderately damaged, thin and limp hair.
Introducing formulas so gentle yet so strengthening. Free of harsh sulfates the EverStrong sulfate-free fortify system contains our patented bio-ceramide complex which strengthens the hair fiber after just one use helping it resist breakage. Rich lather and natural aromatic properties from rosemary and mint help energize and invigorate the senses. EverStrong Bodify conditioner gently conditions while strengthening hair and boosting volume. Adds body and leaves hair strong and silky.
Massage onto wet hair into a thick lather. Rinse. For optimal results, follow with everstrong bodify conditioner. Use everstrong overnight hair repair treatment to nourish and strengthen hair while sleeping. For added strengthening, use everstrong deep replenishing masque weekly.
$7-8 for 250 ml (I got it for Rs 550 )
My Experience with L’Oreal EverStrong Sulfate-Free Fortify System Bodify Shampoo:
L’Oreal is one of the best haircare brands available. This in particular is a great product with its USP being that it is a sulphate-free shampoo. I have used this earlier and it amazed me, hence the moment I saw this again, I picked it up. It comes in an inverted tube with metallic green colour coupled up with a muddy pink colour. The bottle is a little heavy, so there is no way we can carry it as it will occupy a good space in the bag. The packaging is just very luxurious and great to see. It has a flip open cap, which is transparent.
The shampoo is white in colour and the consistency is extremely runny. Now, the issue here was that the moment I open to use it, it just spills out causing a lot of loss of the product. So I wish this tube wasn’t inverted. Talking about how it worked, it did great! The fragrance is a nice floral one which has a lot of perfume in it. And surprisingly, the fragrance present in this has an amazing staying power and lasts for 2 days in my hair. The shampoo can be easily massaged in the scalp and it does not produce immense lather. It does give lather but your head won’t be full of bubbles.
Because it does not create too much lather, a good amount of quantity is needed separately for the scalp and the ends. What I loved a lot is that this shampoo gives me a super cooling sensation when I use it, and it just relaxes me a lot. It is really easy to rinse, and although this was a shampoo, my hair felt extremely smooth and silky as if I had used a conditioner. Hence a conditioner can be skipped at times if desired. It cleanses the scalp very well and removes all the build-up very nicely. My hair is extremely smooth and soft and my colour looked very dazzling and new.
Over time, it has strengthened my hair very nicely and has reduced breakage too which means that it has repaired my damaged hair. Hair fall has also reduced because I now see lesser strands in my comb. Also, frizz remains under controlled for 2 days which is great. It works the best when used with the conditioner of this range. It works nothing less than a spa treatment for sure. It gives the hair deep conditioning which it needs and makes it super healthy over time.
