L’Oreal False Lash Architect 4 Dimensions Effect Waterproof Mascara
Hello All You Beautiful People!!!!
The product I am going to gush about today is the L’Oreal False Lash Architect 4-Dimensions Effect Fibe Mascara. I am a sucker for mascaras because I believe mascara completes your look in a way which no other product ever can, maybe this love for mascara is because I do have curly lashes and a length too, so I like to enhance it and play with it 😛 Hence, all I want in a mascara is to give me good volume at the base and enhance my natural curl and length. Also, I did buy a number of mascaras, but they gave me that bollywood’s 70’s look of overly done lashes and that is why I have been using Maybelline’s Colossal Volume Mascara (yellow one) for a long time now and I was quite happy with it.
I went to the store to buy the usual and the SA raved about this mascara the whole time. I have always been religiously using Maybelline mascara for years now and was a little skeptic on trying anything new. I agreed to her and I offered my lashes for applying L’Oreal False Lash Architect on one eye and L’Oreal Volume Million on the other. So, let’s find out what happened then and who won the battle between these two.
- Lash architect 4D gives the ultimate false lash look.
- Sculpting fibers: helps build volume and instantly make lashes make longer.
- Adhesive waxes in a quick deposit formula : helps the mascara to build volume and create a thicker, more intense lashes.
- Texturizing agents: smoothes the lashes, create definition while extra lifting formula helps to give a beautiful curl.
It has one of the most posh looking packaging a mascara could have. It has a teal blue body with a silver cap with a wand. The wand is fuller to give those voluminous lashes, also its sleek to reach the corner of your eye without getting poked into your eye or ruining your makeup. It catches even the smallest lashes effortlessly and effectively.
My Experience with L’Oreal False Lash Architect 4 Dimensions Effect Waterproof Mascara:
A couple of months ago, I had seen this “get the look” feature of Sonam Kapoor’s Cannes Film Festival look wherein she had those big voluminous and super dramatic lashes, and I simply loved that look. The L’Oreal commercial in the paper said that look was achieved using L’Oreal Volume Million Mascara and that was the day I decided that this would be my next mascara for sure.
The day I went to the store, I came to know that volume million mascara isn’t waterproof and I was so shocked 😮 how can Sonam Kapoor be wearing a mascara which isn’t waterproof on the Cannes red carpet? 😮 (still think it was just L’Oreal’s tactic of luring customers to buy this mascara). Anyway, I still got on board and tried the volume million mascara on one eye and 4D on the other eye.
No doubt volume million gave me the look that I was looking for which was lots of volume and not much of length, but for a mascara to not be waterproof and surviving in the humidity of Delhi seemed a tough task 😡 and obviously nobody would want a smudged mascara in the middle of the day. So, this mascara went down only on one point which by no means is a small drawback.
On the other eye, I had this beautiful looking mascara which gave me lots of volume, required length and curl all in one good stroke :* I was amazed to realize that this mascara was doing so much to my lashes and still I did not feel I had anything on my lashes and it did not feel heavy AT ALL, even with one or even with multiple coats on.(yayyiiee :D)
So, finally volume million lost the battle on just one very important basis which is it being non-waterproof. For a L’Oreal mascara not being waterproof is kind of stupid (sorry if that sounds rude :p).
The another amazing thing about this mascara is you can achieve both a natural everyday, mellow look with just one good swipe as well as a dramatic look with multiple coats. This will NOT feel clumpy (if applied properly though :p) and gives a clean look.
The tricky part about using a waterproof mascara every day comes when you are back home and are getting rid of all the makeup. Lashes are really delicate and taking off mascara which is waterproof could be task on its own, so using a good makeup remover which does not dry up the eyes and locks in the moisture back to your lashes, otherwise you could accidentally pull some of them out (and then there will be lesser and lesser of them to put mascara on :p)
What I do is use baby oil for removing eye makeup which obviously is pretty gentle to your eyes and does not dry them at all. Also, once in a while use castor oil on them for thickening.
Pros of L’Oreal False Lash Architect 4 Dimensions Effect Waterproof Mascara:
- Certainly lives upto the claim of volume, curl and length, all in one.
- Does not feel heavy.
- Very versatile product; can give both everyday and dramatic look.
- Gives a non-clumpy, clean look.
- Intense black look.
- Classy and attractive looking packaging.
- Easy to use wand (catches even the inner most lashes).
- Gives an instant effect of fuller upper lash line.
Cons of L’Oreal False Lash Architect 4 Dimensions Effect Waterproof Mascara:
- Might be a bit expensive for some, but certainly worth a shot.
That is the only con I could think of because I loved this product so much mostly because of its versatility. Love love love it :*
Will I Repurchase L’Oreal False Lash Architect 4 Dimensions Effect Waterproof Mascara?
This certainly is a great product, but I really would like to try the volume million mascara once just to see what the fuss is all about (Sonam Kapoor recommends it so much.. on instagram and otherwise too :o)
Do I Recommend L’Oreal False Lash Architect 4 Dimensions Effect Waterproof Mascara?
