L’Oreal Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Review

Till date, I have read lots of reviews on IMBB and purchased accordingly and I hope this review will help others to decide. This is about the L’Oreal Paris Dermo Expertise Gentle Eye Makeup Remover for sensitive eyes. I have very sensitive eyes and I am pretty sceptical about products that I use on my eyes. I have tried a lot of makeup removers, but the use of those oil-based makeup removers causes irritation and makes me feel uneasy and unclean and I feel like washing my face again and again, yet the greasiness remains.  So, on my recent trip to Kathmandu, I caught sight of this cute little bottle and I purchased it instantly and since then have felt that it’s meant only for people like us.

Price:

Nepalese Rupees 650, Rs. 410 (in India) for 125 ml.

As you can see in the above picture, it comes in a cute, little, transparent, turquoise blue-colored bottle with a white cap due to which the liquid also appears light blue in color, but is transparent and absolutely water like. It also forms bubbles when the bottle is shaken vigorously, but is not soapy at all when used. The cap is in the tik-tak open close format and the inner nozzle is longer which when the lid is closed avoids spillage. Due to its small size, it can easily be carried in bags to office or while traveling.

So, you see, why I couldn’t resist this product as my eyes are sensitive and I use contact lenses too.

I found the ingredient list too long to type, so here it is:

For me, this product has worked out pretty well and makes my eyes feel refreshing and clean as compared to when I use those oil-based cleansers. It removes waterproof makeup with ease without having to rub across my eyelids repeatedly. Though it just doesn’t remove makeup in one swipe, but it is very gentle as it claims. I prefer to dab a small amount on a  cotton bud, then keep it on my lids for a few seconds so that it dissolves the makeup, and then remove it. One needs to be a little careful while taking the remover. Do not squeeze the bottle as its opening is big and a large amount will come into the cotton which will then drip on your eyes when trying to remove makeup.

In the below picture, I have used Chambor Eye Tatoo Liner Black to show its efficiency. 1: After one swipe 2: After two swipes 3: After three swipes.  The liner which is waterproof and smudge proof yet smudges a lot comes off pretty clean.

• Sturdy packaging, does not cause spillage when properly closed.
• Enriched with pro-vitamins.
• Non greasy.

Cons of L’Oreal Gentle Eye Makeup Remover:

• Contains parabens.
• The shelf life is only 6 months after opening.
• Tends to come out a lot when the bottle is squeezed.
• Price is a bit high for just an eye makeup remover.
• I am not sure whether it’s available in India or not as I haven’t seen it yet.

Would I Repurchase L’Oreal Gentle Eye Makeup Remover?

Yes, until I can find a product better suited for my sensitive eyes.
