I am back with a lip gloss review. Recently, I had picked up two L’Oreal Glam Shine lip glosses.  This was my first gloss purchase from L’Oreal as I don’t like to buy expensive lip glosses, but couldn’t resist buying such a beautiful color. I have a bad habit of licking my lips, so gloss hardly stays on my lips for more than half an hour. Never mind, I am trying to change this habit :/  So today, I am going to review and show you the swatch of L’Oreal Paris Glam Shine 6H Lip Gloss in Bahamas Sunrise. This is such a unique name.

Offering a perfect balance between shine and staying power, just one sweep is enough to achieve plump, glossy looking lips. The heart-shaped wand is specially designed to glide over lip contours, giving a precise application.  Choose from a wide collection of shimmering shades with colors ranging from natural nudes and soft pinks to glamorous reds and beautiful browns.

Rs. 800 (6 ml) (sorry I forgot its actual price).

Bahamas Sunrise.

Packaging:

The packaging is very classy. It has silver cover and transparent bottom, like all other glosses. It is very handy to carry along with you. The wand is very cute and soft and I found their concept of a heart-shaped wand amazing. I didn’t find any leakage issue with this bottle even if we keep it upside down.

My Experience with L’Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hours Lip Gloss – Bahamas Sunrise:

This was my first purchase from L’Oreal and I am super excited to apply this to my next party. Although, I have bought many lipsticks in orange shade, I so wanted to have an orange lip gloss as well. Coming over to this shade – Bahamas Sunrise shade, this is a very unique color; I haven’t seen such a color so far.

This shade is a bit over the top and should be avoided for formal events. It is highly pigmented and comes out to be very beautiful on the lips. It stays on lips for more than 4-5 hours, but the color changes from darker to lighter shade. Some orangey color is left on the lips at the end of day which I personally prefer as it gives a natural shade to my lips.

I particularly like the brush that comes along which makes the application super easy and comfortable. Another good thing is that the bottle does not leak. I am very happy to use this gloss.  Now, I will list down a few issues about this lip gloss, sometimes I find it too sticky when I apply 2-3 coats. It is transferable and leaves stains on glasses and cups (I hate this as I have to keep hiding my glasses from my work table). Original shade doesn’t stay for 6 hours as claimed and usually stays for 2-3 hours with meals in between and 3-4 hours without meal (I am talking about the original shade shown in the swatch).

I forgot to mention two things; one that it has a little bit of shimmer and has a strong fragrance of bubble gum I believe (but not sure as I have bad nose).

Pros of L’Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hours Lip Gloss – Bahamas Sunrise:

• Soft and creamy texture.
• Classic, sturdy packaging.
• Intense pigmentation.
• Smooth application.
• Does not settle in fine lines.
• Stays for more than 4-5 hours.
• Easy to carry.

Cons of L’Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hours Lip Gloss – Bahamas Sunrise:

• Costly.
• Gets sticky at times.
• Original shade doesn’t remain on the lips 3-4 hours.
• Gets transferred easily.
• It has some strong fragrance; I think of bubble gum.

Will I Repurchase L’Oreal Glam Shine 6 Hours Lip Gloss – Bahamas Sunrise?

I am not satisfied with its staying power and would like to buy some gloss from some other range, but those who are okay with 4-5 hours of stay can definitely can try this shade as it is very different and looks beautiful when applied.
