Now, I will take a break from Suave products although I am left with three more 🙂 This time, I have come back with a lip gloss review and the pick of the day is L’Oreal HIP Shine Struck Liquid Color. This is my third gloss from L’Oreal. I find L’Oreal High Intensity Pigments range to be amazing. I had a few products from this range a few years back. So, thought of picking up the L’Oreal HIP Shine Struck Liquid Lip Color in the shade Arresting.
L’Oreal’s website claims that these lip colors are very creamy and non-sticky with Jojoba oil and Vitamin E for conditioning of the lips. Vitamin E keeps the lips soft and supple while Jojoba Oil conditions the texture of the lips.
Price and Quantity:
4$ for 8.2 ml.
It has a simple packaging and normal applicator as we see with other lip glosses. It doesn’t spill.
My Experience with L’Oreal High Intensity Pigments Shine Struck Lip Color – Arresting:
I have never bought dark color lip glosses or shades as I think it makes my lips to appear thin. I was assembling things for my makeup kit so wanted to experiment with my look and thought of trying something other than my usual pinks and oranges. I have heard good reviews of this product and immediately bought this shade. It’s a deep fuchsia purple on my lips and looks very beautiful when swatched on hands. This is super pigmented and you actually get the same color on your lips along with the shine which lasts for a long time. I applied it in the morning and it was there till 4 pm. We may need some touchups as it fades from the inner corners of the lips. When it fades, it leaves a nice pink-toned stain on my lips which I always love as it gives a natural shade. It’s not at all drying.
It has a nice caramel scent which I absolutely love. I would say this is statement lip gloss and those who do not like bold colors should skip it. My last L’Oreal High Shine lip glosses were so sticky, but this is not at all sticky and goes on very smoothly. They glide like a dream and just one swipe is enough to get the desired color. The lip gloss has doe-foot applicator which picks exactly the right amount of color. I like doe-foot applicators more than brushes. Overall, I totally love this product. I apologize for the lip swatches as they aren’t that good enough 🙁
