L’Oreal Highlighter Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner Review

Hope you are having a fun day! Today I am reviewing the L’Oreal Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner in “Highlighter”.

My experience with L’Oreal Highlighter Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner:

The L’Oreal Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner comes in a number of beautiful shades. The plastic body of the pencil matches the color of the liner, which makes it easy to identify the liner by color. The pencil has a transparent cap and a gold band on the top. The color of the liner is printed in gold on the pencil body.

“Highlighter” is a beautiful pinky-peach with a frosty sheen. As with all the other eyeliners in this Silkissime range, the pigmentation of this one too is excellent. You can get the full color intensity in just one swipe of the liner.

The liner is extremely soft and creamy and glides very easily on the lids. There is no skip, no tugging. You can draw a smooth intense line in just one single stroke. It is really like silk. You need to apply just the slightest pressure.

This range of liners claims to last for 16 hours. All the other shades that I have tried are quite long lasting. But with this particular highlighter shade, I find that it starts fading after 5 hours or so. Do note that I have watery eyes as I wear contact lens and I keep wiping the inner corners of my eyes with a tissue whenever my eyes water. If you do not have this problem of watery eyes, it should last you much longer.

As with any pencil liner, the tip gets blunt after one use. More so with this one, as it is so creamy that the product gets used up pretty fast. I could get a maximum of two uses before I had to sharpen. Any good sharpener will do the job. The gold band at the top of the pencil is also plastic, not an actual metal band. So there is no issue with sharpening.

Cons of L’Oreal Highlighter Infallible Silkissime Eyeliner:

 Since the product is so soft and creamy, the tip may break unless you are very gentle
 Has to be sharpened
 Lasting power might be less if you have watery eyes

This works really well to brighten up the inner corners of the eyes, as I have used in the EOTD below. You can also use it on the waterline to open up the eyes.
