After a mini break, I am back with more reviews…yay to that! Neha says I love L’Oreal for skincare, I do not disagree and here is the proof! I saw this new launch and I liked the concept of a mask-in jelly, so I picked this up. Mask –in jelly is something new for the beauty world, isn’t it? At least to me it was and I liked the texture at the store, so it came home.
Rs.599/- for 50ml
My experience with L’Oreal Hydrafresh Hydration + Antiox Active Night Mask-In Jelly:
The initial glitch was the tub packaging but I thought I would give it a try, when will the hand sanitizers come to use? The outer paper carton has a lot of information and jar inside is very securely placed. The tub is made of glass with the screw open cap in metallic pink, very girly and attractive I must say. The tub has a protective plastic lid which secures the product all the more.
The texture is beautiful to say the least. It is not a gel, it is a jelly, just as the name says. It slides on the skin smoothly giving an initial cool feel. The jelly spreads so well that a little goes a long way. Even after the cooling feel settles, there is no uncomfortable sensation. It might seem to few that it creates a mask on the face but it is not so. On the contrary your skin will feel touch-ably smooth.
The SA at the store tried convincing me that it can be used as a mask. Apply a thick layer evenly for 20 minutes and then wash off, it would give a facial like glow. I was not too certain but thought of giving it a try. Yes, there was a glow and suppleness to the skin but nothing that was miraculous. I would rather keep this as a night time jelly, for me that works better.
I have woken up the next day with a wonderful glow and soft smooth skin after applying this at night. For me, it works better when kept overnight and also I need lesser amount of the product. There is a soothing smell which stays on for a while before vanishing. Nothing too strong to bother the sensitive nose but a typical high-end cosmetic smell.
Overall, I am quite impressed with the product as it gives the brightening glow to the skin. The price tag is affordable and little goes a long way. There is nothing that you can really complain about this. If you have very dry skin, this might not be for you but for oily/combination skin people this is a welcome change in the beauty market.
