L’Oreal Hydrafresh Instant Freshness Toning Water Review

Hello Friends,

Before I got attached to IMBB, I always thought that toners were meant for people with oily skin and they help in combating acne and pimples, but after reading through IMBB and the reviews on products and getting to know about the cleansing-toning-moisturising routine for keeping the skin glowing and youthful, I was proved wrong.  My skin is combination type with areas around the mouth extremely dry and sensitive. Also, recently, I saw that facial pores were becoming more visible with age.  Hence, the search for a suitable toner began.

L'Oreal Hydrafresh Instant Freshness Toning Water Review

Mostly, all those toners that I found in the market were meant for oily skin or combination to oily skin, but as they say “patience pays,” and I finally found the perfect product for my skin. It’s L’Oreal Paris Dermo –Expertise Hydrafresh Instant Freshness Toning Water.

I purchased it on my trip to Kathmandu for Rs. 349 for 200 ml. It is also available online at the same price.

The toner comes in a transparent bottle and has a light aqua green color as can be seen in the above picture, though when taken on a cotton ball, no color can be identified.  It has a rotating cap which in case left open will cause spillage of the contents inside, so one has to be careful with the lid. If the lid is closed tightly, it won’t spill, but its better to avoid risks.

Product Description:

For the first time, L’Oreal skin care laboratories formulated the French Vosges pure spa water with powerful Hydra-Claryl to purify and rebalance normal to combination skin.  Directly extracted from its source in the French Mountains, the Pure Mineral Spa Water has incredible pureness. Naturally rich in minerals, this unique water helps to stimulate cell’s vitality to strengthen skin barrier for optimal hydration level.

It performs 3 major actions:

1. Refreshes and invigorates: Immediately invigorates skin and floods it with incomparable freshness.
2. Purifies skin: Clarifies skin and cleans it from impurities.
3. Rebalances skin day after day: Refines and rebalances skin texture and makes pores less visible leaving it smooth.

Mode of Application:

  • Dab a little quantity of the toner on a cotton wool.
  • Apply all over the face.
  • Moisturize your skin with a good cream or lotion after use.
  • To give your skin an all-day hydration supply, use the Hydrafresh Aqua Essence, enriched with essential minerals from pure SPA water.

My Experience with L’Oreal Hydrafresh Instant Freshness Toning Water:

I generally use it at night, but when used in the morning as well, my skin feels hydrated throughout the day. The moment I apply, I get that icy cool feeling of having splashed cold water on the face, and is great during summers. It has a very mild fragrance, something I am not able to identify and relate to, and is lost a few minutes after application. I have been using it for the past two weeks and can feel a little difference in my skin texture, though not visible outright, my skin does feel a little tighter and fresh.

Toner

I have used it after cleansing my face and yet some dirt particles are visible on the cotton ball which otherwise were invisible. It thoroughly cleans and purifies skin as promised as can be seen from the below pictures.

  1. hey guys cant help showing off but here goes. A Ms Saina Nehwal lives in my bldg:) its a pretty huge complex. Soooo while she is still in the UK, her dad is around. I had gone for a walk with the husband and her dad was coming back from somewhere and saw that he had stopped to distribute kaju barfi to all the folks. such a sweet man. got a chance to congratulate him. such an honour really. She is an Olympian now.

coming to the review, i love love toners but have completely stopped using them cos i read it wasnt a must in the routine and a couple I bought recently turned out to be quite a dud too.but i have used the TBS seaweed one and that didnt break me out at all so i would rate that quite high.

    1. haha…..can totally understand ur feeling aru…..:) though it was sad that the medal was conceded to her like this nevertheless an olympic medal is a medal……all respect, adulation n admiration for ms nehwal.

      1. exactly Shivani. am sure the fact that she didnt win it fair and square will always loom on top of her head but hey she gave a good fight and anyone who has seen her play in the past and win all those other championships will know she totally deserved the medal.

    2. great to know SOMEBODY. well everyone has their own experience but after much experimenting I found this toner good for my skin

  2. ease of availability n dermataologically tested cant be cons for sure……some typing mistake here…..jomo, rati pls check…..

    1. Thank you Rati but i suppose it should suit other skin types too as the formula is very gentle and soothing yet cannot be said for sure unless tried
