Depending on the finish and intensity, it can be a day time or night time colour, but there are some reds that are universally flattering, irrespective of their finish. The lipstick I am now going to review comes in this same elusive category. Not only is it gorgeous, it is also long lasting! Read on for a detailed and exhaustive review.

The lipstick comes in a very sleek travel-safe packaging that has been dropped innumerable times by me and yet, the product is still safe and sound, sans scratches! The transparent lid makes it easy to locate in my vanity.

My Take on L’Oreal Infallible Le Rouge Lipstick in Ravishing Red:

Let me start by saying that the ingredient list that I saw on the website and copy-pasted for your reference, is positively terrifying! That many chemicals in one wee little lipstick? *sigh*

The lipstick is a very warm carrot red that instantly perks up one’s complexion without being over the top.  Although, it is not as pigmented on my lips as it is in the swatches, but this may be because I have very pigmented lips. The pigmentation does not build up any further on my lips, and I really have no idea why. This lipstick looks and feels like a lip stain for me!

The formula is long wearing, so it is slightly sticky, but thankfully unscented. On application, the lipstick feels very moisturizing, but after 1-2 hours it settles down to a slightly drier finish but never quite dries out my lips. It lasts a very decent 6-7 hours, even surviving a meal adequately well.  I haven’t seen this range in India and seeing that it hasn’t been reviewed on IMBB, I am unsure about it’s availability, but being part of the immensely popular Infallible Range, I am sure it’ll make its way to Indian makeup counters soon enough! :p

Probably not! I am such a red lipstick fanatic, that I’ll certainly find some other to love 😛
