Experimenting with different colors of eyeliners is my favourite part about makeup. I used to love the use of different colors since I was a child and since then, there has been no looking back! So, when I came across this eyeliner pencil from L’Oreal called L’Oreal Infallible Never Fail Mechanical Liner in Taupe Grey, I just knew I was going to try it out. So, let’s get started ladies.

My Experience with L’Oreal Infallible Taupe Grey Matte-Matic Liner:
Packaging: This eye pencil comes in a convenient mechanical twist-up packaging. The sleek and slim look of this pencil is easy to use and travel friendly.
It also comes with an outer packaging that has all the details of the product mentioned on it. The cap of the eye pencil is color coded to the shade of the eyeliner, which is a great thing considering I have so many eyeliners. There is no sharpening involved, so no product wastage! All in all, the packaging is simple and practical.
Texture: This liner has a soft texture that glides smoothly along the lash line. I would not say that this liner has the best texture ever, but it’s not bad by any means. When applying on the lower lash line (not lower waterline), it does tug a little and needs some effort and patience to get an even colour payoff. On the waterline, it goes on pretty smooth.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is not a dense super color pay-off, but it can be built to a good intensity. The color is really nice and unique though. It’s a charcoal color with navy undertones. It looks really flattering on the eyes and is ideal for ladies who do not like to leave their comfort zone of a black kajal, but still want to experiment with colors. I prefer wearing it on my lower waterline and lash line as it works best for me that way.
Staying Power: According to L’Oreal, this baby wears for up to 24 hours straight! I can never try on makeup for 24 hours because I cannot sleep with makeup on if I am alive!! Anyway, this pencil stays on the tight line and waterline for good 7 hours without fading or smearing. If you have oily lids like mine, you should get on very well with this formula as it’ll likely wear quite well for you.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase L’Oreal Infallible Taupe Grey Matte-Matic Liner?
The overall quality of this pencil is not bad. It’s soft, fairly pigmented and long lasting. I do recommend this product to all who like this unique colour and would like to try it out for a change. Honestly, I do not reach for it as often as my other liners, but I sure use it occasionally. I will repurchase this, but will use up what I have left.
