Majority of oily skin beauties swear by L’Oreal True Match Foundation – I do too! L’Oreal has come up with a number of new foundations in the “Infallible” range over the past few years and it’s a sin for a makeup addict not to try them :D. I am reviewing L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation in the shade “Natural Beige (305).”

My Experience with L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Full Coverage Foundation:

L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation comes in a squeezable tube with a narrow nozzle to dispense the thick foundation. There is no cardboard box and the tube carries all details and instructions about the product. It is a travel-friendly tube with the cap closing tightly. The tube of the color is darker than the shade of the foundation it houses, so don’t match the tube to your skin over the counter if testers are not available.

Loreal Infallible Total Cover Full Coverage Foundation details

L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation is thick and creamy in texture yet blends out easily and seamlessly. Working with L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation is easy and doesn’t need any specified tool –a beauty blender or kabuki brush will give flawless and natural looking finish with good coverage. It contains fragrance.

Talking about the coverage – L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation gives medium to full coverage depending on how much product and blending tool you use. It sets to a velvety-matte finish and doesn’t require a setting powder as it is a cream-to-powder sort of product. It doesn’t accentuate pores, doesn’t clog pores and doesn’t settle into lines except for laugh lines after several hours of wear. However, if you have dry patches, L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation will turn into blotchy foundation and adhere to dry areas. I suggest using a primer if you have normal-combination skin for a smooth canvas and a moisturiser if you deal with dryness issues. It is long wearing – gives me an even and flawless skin for 7-8 hours on average. It makes my t-zone shiny after 4 hours.

For reference, I am NC 25-30 and best matched as W3 in L’Oreal True Match foundation. L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation doesn’t have an extended shade range. The limited shades they have introduced mostly pertain to pink undertones and warm0skin toned beauties will face troubles finding a match as the range lacks yellow0toned foundations. It was weird to see beige and pink-peach undertones but not incorporating yellow undertones in formulating the shades. I had a really hard luck with L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation as I ordered shade 309 but received 305 (Thanks to my vendor’s mistake; I have opened up a dispute but it is going nowhere and I have lost hope).

Pros of L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Full Coverage Foundation:

  • The best feature in L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation is the finish. It sets to a velvety matte finish.
  • Cream to powder foundation.
  • Blends seamlessly with any good foundation tool.
  • Just a little amount is required for medium-to-full coverage.
  • Hides most of the imperfections.
  • Natural looking and lightweight on skin.
  • Fairly priced.
  • Long wearing.
  • Doesn’t clog or accentuate pores.

Cons of L’Oreal Infallible Total Cover Full Coverage Foundation:

  • Limited shade range, which again fails to accommodate yellow/warm skin tones.
  • The nozzle is too narrow for a foundation this thick.
  • Blotchy on dry skin.
  • You would need a mattifying primer in summer if you have oily skin.
