L’Oreal Made For Me Intense Lipstick: Burning Sunset

L’Oreal Made For Me Intense Lipstick: Burning Sunset

L’Oreal Made For Me Intense Lipstick Burning Sunset

I am reviewing something absolutely bridal for the season, so all you brides make a note of this must-have shade, which will come handy in at least two of your wedding functions 😀

I made a trip to the L’Oreal counter at Health and Glow last weekend and picked up some things, all very bridal and “very party and wedding season things” that would be a pleasant change for all you non-matte lovers, shimmer lovers and our would-be brides reading IMBB.

orange

So, this color won over a creamy brown shade from Color Riche as I tired to picture the creme lipsticks in my collection and I yawned  , I had to pick up something different and festive this time. :pompom:

“Burning Sunset” swatches among the other “Made For Me Intense” lipsticks have been shared by Rati a while ago and lot of us lusted after these.  I would say I am collecting L’Oreal lipsticks these days and this is perhaps my 9th L’Oreal lipstick, but perhaps, the most unique and very glam.

Made For Me Intense

Burning Sunset is a shimmer color, absolutely orange and full of silver and gold shimmer.  I would say the shimmer is definitely noticeable, which would make “non-shimmer lovers” cringe. The shade is such a glamorous orange with sparkling silver shimmer in it. I can also picture a matte orange of this kind and drool, but this in itself is very pretty.

Details

The shimmer feels very mildly gritty, not so bothersome to me and the lipstick is immensely pigmented honestly.  I got some other “Made For Me Intense” lipsticks as well and “my oh my” these are some of the most pigmented shimmer lipsticks I must have tried. They glide on superb and release bursts of color true to the shade in the tube.

Packaging

The staying power is a very decent 4 hours for me, but I do feel these do not fade evenly after a meal.  These leave behind some orange and a lot of sparkly shimmer on the lips and it becomes terribly obvious that you need a touch up, something, that doesn’t bother me much though.

The packing is so L’Oreal, I like it quite a lot and the click lock is so helpful to carry it around. The quantity is fab as well and the golden packaging adds to the glamour of the lipstick.  The tear drop shape is not to my liking.  I like flat-top lipsticks for ease of application.  The smell of this lipstick is so typical of L’Oreal, that strangely, sweet bubble gummish :dumb:

orange

I have applied the lipstick with an orange lip liner and a lip brush to get a more neater lip as the lipstick may bleed a little due to the fantastic pigmented color and over-the-top shimmer.  The lip brush gave me a lot of control over this lipstick.

The price for the lipstick is 720 rupees, it maybe a little too much, but I think this color is so Indian, bridal, and festive that you may end up using it a lot more than you think with so many festivals round the year.  I think the pigmentation and the glam shade makes it worth the money definitely.  This is a very pigmented, silvery shimmery, and a bridal lipstick worth your trousseau.
