My Experience with L’Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Oil-In-Cream:

This oil in cream comes in a gorgeous golden and yellow colored sturdy tube with a dark brown cap. It has two size options. I have the 100ml tube, so it looks small and travel-friendly. All the details are nicely mentioned on the tube. The packaging is so tempting and beautiful. I feel the product is very well priced. The texture of this cream is neither too thick nor runny. It has a medium creamy consistency which glides smoothly on my hair. The cream looks white in color and it gets absorbed quickly. It never feels sticky or oily.

packaging

A decent amount of product is needed for my long hair. It feels light on my hair and never weighs my hair down. It has a strong but pleasant floral and fruity scent, which never irritates my sensitive nose. I can’t explain how much I like its smell! It’s an oil-in-cream product and it contains the benefits of 6 oils: argan, olive, almond, coconut, jojoba, and camelina. I think this list is enough to understand how good it is for hair. You can use this in three ways: as an overnight therapy, before a shampoo, and after shampoo. I have used it in all the ways and it works so well in every way.

Overnight therapy: An overnight application gives very smooth, silky and soft hair the next morning. It works from the roots to the tip. It doesn’t feel oily on the scalp. The next morning, post wash, my hair looks perfect and I am ready to go my beautiful hair. It provides a lovely shine and makes hair much healthier. It works the best in this for me. My hair appears repaired owing to this treatment.

claims

Before shampoo: It is also an easy way to use this cream. The cream needs to be kept for 30 minutes and then washed off. But, I really don’t have the time for this technique. This cream works pretty well, in this way also. If you have the time, then try this way. Post wash, it gives you super smooth and manageable hair. It acts as a hair oil which keeps hair soft after the shampoo. My hair doesn’t look limp or oily. It has a perfectly balanced formula which keeps hair soft all day long.

After shampoo: It is an “oil-in-cream” and still it can be used as a leave-in cream or conditioner. It provides instantly soft and silky hair. It deeply conditions my hair and gives a smooth silky texture without making my hair oily. If my hair looks dull, then I prefer this step. You need to wait for a little while for the cream to get absorbed when trying this step.

description

So, the cream works nicely in every way. I mostly prefer the overnight and the after shampoo techniques to use it. My hair is not super dry or damaged, it just feels unmanageable at times. This cream keeps my hair manageable for long and helps to detangle my hair. As the ends of my hair become dry, I prefer to apply this on the tips.

It keeps my hair bouncy and voluminous. My hair moves naturally and I can style my hair the way I want. My fingers go on smoothly and I love to touch my hair again and again. The softness stays the whole day. At the end of the day, my hair looks quite messy but still doesn’t feel dry or frizzy.

cap

Now, let me mention that the cream contains so many chemicals. It can’t replace my regular hair oil only because of this. I don’t like to apply too many chemicals on my hair on a daily basis. But, during summers, hair oils feel little heavy on my oily scalp. As an alternative, this cream works great. I have not noticed any hair fall but it can’t control any hair fall either. With regular use, it maintains my hair and repairs it too.

  1. This reminds me of the Garnier Oil in Cream. Its interesting how different brands come up with their own version of similar products 🙂 Nicely explained review Chayanti, thanks for sharing 🙂

    1. Thanks Priya 🙂 I also have the Garnier one and this is a better one than Garnier oil in cream. It is so light on hair. 🙂
