Girls with fine, limp hair always crave for volume and try out new products which gives volume and texture to the hair. Today, I have one such product. Let us see how it fared.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It Air-Blown Texture Mist:

L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It Air-Blown Texture Mist comes a purple-colored plastic bottle with black nozzle. The bottle is not too broad and easy to hold in the hand during use. The nozzle sprays well and I have not faced any nozzle clogging. The cap comes sealed with a plastic wrap.

The mist is white in color, like diluted milk 😉 but comes out colorless and does not have any effect on the color of the hair. The nozzle sprays the product nicely, in a fine mist. I have used the product on dry hair, damp hair and even on my next day hair, and it gives best results when used in a way that’s directed by the brand.

I spray the mist on my damp, towel-dried hair and focus on the roots and then blow dry my hair.  After I am done and look in the mirror, I am wow-ed! 😛 It gives me awesome, extraordinary volume and texture. My hair does have the air-blown look. I cannot stop looking into the mirror and admiring my hair. For someone like me, who has very thin hair and no volume at all, this product seemed like God-sent 😛 The effect stays for one full day, but the volume kind of dies down the next day. It does not weigh down my hair on the following day nor does it makes them greasy. But the effect is not same when I use it on dry hair, it provides very little volume. Also, it does not make any difference if I apply it on my “next day hair.”

The brand claims that the product works as a heat protectant spray as well, so I do not need to use a separate heat protectant when using blow dryer or any styling tool. 🙂

Also, it doubles up (or triples up 😛 ) as a style holding spray too and the hold of this product stays for a single day, but it does not make hair crunchy. My hair looks natural and I can comb through them easily, but with the amazing volume it gives me, I prefer keeping my hair down and not using any curling wand.  Using too much or too regularly does lead to product buildup, but a clarifying shampoo takes care of that issue.

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It Air-Blown Texture Mist:

• Effect stays for one day only.
• Does not work on dry hair or the “next day hair.”
• Gives volume and texture when a blow dryer is used.
• Using too much product may lead to product build up.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase L’Oreal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It Air-Blown Texture Mist?
I love the volume it gives to my hair, but do not like the fact that the effect is very short lived. Also, I need to use a blow dryer every time with it and I do not prefer blow drying my hair regularly.  So, I use it sparingly or when I am going out. I might not repurchase it since I like trying out new products but would recommend it for sure.
