Hello fellow IMBBians, well this is my first review, I have been a silent follower (read admirer) of this fabulous blog for the past 4 years. As much as I wanted to share my opinions, I just couldn’t decide when to start and which product to start with. And what better product then something from L’Oreal Paris.

Coming to the review now; this moist matte range of L’Oreal has been in rage since it was launched. I mean thanks to Aishwarya, Lincoln Rose became a cult shade (which I intended to buy too but was out of stock, hence this)

 

Description:
A lipstick that delivers intense moisture while providing a velvet matte finish. Color Riche Moisture Matte’s unique formula contains jojoba oil for unrivaled moisture and comfort along with matte gel technology to create an intense matte look.
Velvet matte gel technology is combined with deep pigments and Jojoba oil to give a deep color pay-off, maintaining ultimate moisture and comfort.

Packaging:

It comes in a nice golden plastic case with the shade indicated in the front. Packaging is good for the price you pay. It is travel -friendly and the cap closes with a secure click. The color of the lipstick is marked distinctively so it becomes easy to pick it up from the stash. The shade name and number is mentioned at the bottom too.

My experience with L’Oreal Paris Black Cherry Moist Matte Lipstick :

Well as I mentioned earlier that actually wanted Lincoln Rose but it was out of stock, the SA seeing my sad face showed me this beauty, and my god did I like it! This seems like a dark maroon type shade but really it’s more of a deep red shade. I applied it for a party and it felt so easy to move it on the lips. It felt light and sometime after application I felt as if I haven’t applied anything on my lips to the extent I had to check repeatedly to confirm that it was still there.

Texture-wise as the name mentions it is a moist matte. These are perfect mattes, moisturizing and matte at the same time. Glides nicely on the lips with a fantastic color pay off in just a single swipe. Color is build-able according to one’s personal preference. This lipstick didn’t bleed on me. I don’t have very dry lips so on me it didn’t accentuate any lines or settle in them. Those with dry lips will be better off with exfoliating first and then using a lip balm because it might feel dry later.

Staying power is commendable. I wore it for my New Year’s party and it stayed put between light snacking. It fades evenly with a nice tint so touch-ups aren’t that much necessary. Though I reapplied after 4 hours because I wanted it to look fresh in the photographs.

Summing up:

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Black Cherry Moist Matte Lipstick :

•  Good packaging with the shade indicated in front as well as the bottom.
• Moisturizing
•  Fantastic color pay off in single swipe.
•  Beautiful deep red shade.
•  Staying power is really good.

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Black Cherry Moist Matte Lipstick :

• May not be moisturizing enough for very dry lips.

4.9/5 For the price you pay, you get a great product. This is the first time I went for a matte lippie and I must say I am not disappointed, so yessss I will totally recommend this.
