L’Oreal Paris Color Protect Protecting Conditioner Review

L’Oreal Paris Color Protect Protecting Conditioner Review

Hi Everyone!!!

Today, I am going to review a conditioner which along with its corresponding shampoo has been lying behind other shampoos in my washroom since a long time. My mom got L’Oreal color protect shampoo and conditioner when she got her hair colored. She used half of this shampoo and conditioner and then she stopped using it. Later, I tried it for several days and understood the reason.

L’Oreal Paris Color Protect Protecting Conditioner Review

L’Oreal color protect shampoo was reviewed a few days back by Devleena. Since I agree with everything she said about this shampoo, I will be just reviewing the conditioner and the effect it causes to the results of the shampoo when they are used together.

Product Description:

The color protect formula with UV filter light reflecting system combines an active nourishing ingredient and filters to work on 2 levels:

1. Nourishes the hair and transforms its surface. Hair feels silky to touch.
2. Helps protect the hair fibre from external aggressions and accentuated your color radiance.

Hair Color Protecting Treatment

Rs. 80 for 90 gm.

This conditioner comes in a red inverted bottle. I find the red packaging to be cute. The consistency of the conditioner is thicker than the shampoo and its white in color. It has an amazing sweet fragrance like that of the shampoo.

Color Protect

The shampoo when used alone dries my hair like anything after 3-4 hours of wash. My hair loses its lustre and looks lifeless. I have silky hair but they become very rough after using this shampoo. When I use L’Oreal Color Protect conditioner along with the shampoo, it somehow makes my hair soft after wash, but that effect remains just for 3-4 hours. After about 4-5 hours, my hair again becomes dry and rough.

Shampoo and Conditioner

Though the shampoo and conditioner give an extra shine in the first 2-3 hours, after that, the natural shine of my hair also gets lost.  All the other conditioners I have liked give a smooth, straightened effect on my hair, but this one fails to give it for more than a few hours. Since my mom has colored hair, it exaggerates the dryness even more. She doesn’t even touch this shampoo and conditioner since she has started using products from Matrix and other such brands.

Protect Hair

  1. Since I have oily scalp I didn’t have any problem with this shampoo and conditioner. No frizziness. But I have gone back to my TBS Oil balance since the oil comes back after 3 days.

    1. that’s good for you Tina 🙂 i didn’t like this at all.. all shampoos work differently on different people. May b that’s the reason it works for some n not for others
