I will be reviewing another product that IMBB sponsored for me. It has been a while since I’ve been tempted to try this gloss and I had an opportunity of doing so, thanks to the sponsored scheme! A huge thank you for IMBB. I got the shade called ‘Rose Finale;’ let us see how it fares.

My take on L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in Rose Finale:

I love the packaging of this gloss; the gold colored tube looks very luxurious. There is a little portion on the tube that is color coded as the base which makes it easier to identify if you own more than one.

But the packaging feels plastic-y, which was a bit of a disappointment. The applicator is slightly different and I would have preferred the conventional doe-foot one. I feel the applicator picks up more product than I need, for my requirement.

Rose finale is a soft pink, but not too soft that it washes you out. Neither does it brighten up the face. I prefer such shades and I personally like it. It has very tiny micro-shimmers in it that is barely visible (Thank God!). The texture of this gloss is comparable to the Maybelline lip polishes which is very similar. I feel it is too thick and feels slightly heavy in the lips. But on the brighter side it makes the lips look plump and fuller. I would save such glosses for special occasions since I don’t prefer to wear them on a daily basis. Like the description says, it is quite moisturizing on the lips.

As far as the pigmentation is concerned, I am very happy. For a pale pink it is nicely pigmented and it will give sheer to medium coverage. Two swipes are more than sufficient for complete coverage and intensity. On the other side, it bleeds slightly and transfers to whatever touches it. I don’t think it would survive heavy meals. On the whole, it lasts for up to 5 hours with light meals or snacks in between. It gives a mirror finish, but I found that the application was a little patchy and it needs to be evened out. I had the same issue with the Maybelline lip polish too. But I guess it is sure worth a try with a range of shades to choose from 🙂

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in Rose Finale:

• Pretty gold packaging.
• Travel-friendly.
• Color coded.
• Pigmentation is very good, for a light shade.
• It makes the lips to look fuller and plumper.
• It is a lovely soft pink that is almost neutral.
• The gloss does not feel sticky even though it is heavy.
• Gives a lovely mirror finish.
• Moisturising.
• Lasts up to 5 hours.
• Gives sheer to medium coverage, since this is a light shade. Intensity can be built.

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in Rose Finale:

• I am not an admirer of the applicator.
• Packaging looks gorgeous, but it feels plastic-y.
• Transfers.
• Pricey.
