How you doing?? I am here with my second review … one of my precious ranges of kohl .I am simply crazy over kajals and always keep an eye on new ones to buy. Whenever I feel like I need something new to pep my mood I head over to the cosmetics counter and the thing I do is checkout kajals first of all. So one day I looked on for various brands for a good kohl as I felt my previous kajals are old now: p.. I checked out Lakme iconic kajal, Color bar I –glide, Maybelline colossal went to L’Oreal counter as I had never tried L’Oreal kohls. SA showed me their gel liners but I already have the Maybelline one so I asked for pencil kajals. And when I saw L’Oreal paris color riche Le kohl, I picked up without any hesitation as I have to get a L’Oreal kajal.. 😀

My Experience on L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Kohl – Midnight Black
As soon as I used the kohl I saw it’s beautiful medium pigmented black color in matte and feels very smooth but the texture is not creamy. I have sensitive eyes but did not feel any stinging sensation to the eyes and it did not feel harsh on the waterline. One stroke is enough to get an intense color on upper lid but I applied it twice or thrice to get more color on the lower lashes.
I thought it is a good buy till half an hour post which it started smudging all over the eyes.. It felt like the kohl is smudging out of the waterline all over the eye area… I was shocked.. It gave me panda eyes and as it is waterproof, cleaning my eye took a toll. When I got back home, first thing I did was to clean the kohl with an eye makeup remover. I felt cheated and thought my 350 bucks are a total waste.
But I can’t throw the pencil after one use only so I decided I will it use next time and will dab some black eye shadow to the upper and lower lid and check it out if still it smudges or not because I have oily lids.. And this helped me with the upper lash but it was of no use on the waterline or lower lash. So I just threw that pencil in one corner of my makeup kit.. What to do, I can’t throw it in the dustbin but I decided I will use this for upper lashes with some eye shadow at least for the time being.
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Kohl – Midnight Black
1. Medium pigmented black color.
2. Easy to glide, smooth texture.
3. Comes in a beautiful packaging with golden packing at starting tip.
4. Safe for sensitive eyes.
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Kohl – Midnight Black:
1. It’s not smudge proof especially on oily eyelids.
2. Have to dab black eye shadow even on upper lashes for oily lids.
3. Can’t stay on waterline.
4. Price is higher as compared to other brands kohl of same quality.
IMBB Rating: 3/5
Recommend: I will not purchase this again for sure and recommend not to buy this pencil if you have oily lids or for waterline.
