I’ve had very less colored liners in my collection, so I thought I would add more. I lost my L.A Girl blue liner mysteriously, I’m still wondering how. So, I thought this time I’d get a purple one, so I went with this from L’Oreal. Let’s hear the review.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Smokey eyeliner- Purple Dream 211:
I love colored liner these days for office. They just add life to my face, especially on Mondays! These wooden pencils come in color coded bodies, which makes identification easier with more than one shade. This is a dual ended one, with a liner and a smudger. They are shut with plastic caps, which fit snugly; easy to carry around. Purple dream, is a nice purple with black hints, which is perfect for the smokey look. It gives a matte finish. The color is absolutely lovely and will suit all eye colors. The smudger given is not all useless; it helps to soften the color a bit. But, it is a little hard and pokey on eyes.
The texture, is super soft and smooth. There is no sign of any tug or pull even if your eyelids are not primed. I absolutely love the formula of this one. But the pigmentation, is not that intense and disappointed me a little. I need more than 3 swipes to get the intensity of the purple. And when I smudge it, I need more.
In the EOTD, I have probably used more than 4 swipes with all the smudging. Also, since it can be smudged, it doesn’t survive all the eye-touching/rubbing. It doesn’t last very long either; it started fading from the inner corners after 2 hours as I have watery eyes. I have this habit of touching my eyes often too. On the whole, it lasted for 5 hours, with fading from inner corners. It comes off super easily with my Bioderma micellar water, or any eye make-up remover for that matter. Even though the pigmentation part was a letdown, I absolutely enjoy wearing this whenever I need some color in my life..

Would I Recommend/Repurchase L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Smokey eyeliner- Purple Dream 211?
I would definitely try some other shades, even though I feel they could have worked more on the formula for the price tag. However, I would totally suggest this shade for eye makeup enthusiasts.
