How are you doing today? I am pretty charged up as I read an amazing story this morning which restores our faith in humanity and kindness! The hero of the story is Mr. Sanjeev Mishra, and I have also started a thread on this on Madam Gupshup. I am here to share another L’Oreal Le Matte Lip Pen purchase also with you which completes my collection. However, I am not a fan of this shade and it is way different from other Le Matte Lip Pens too. So, let’s read more about L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Matte For Me Le Matte Lip Pen!

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Matte For Me Le Matte Lip Pen:
This particular shade is also housed in a retractable pen packaging with a safety cap. It does have nostalgic L’Oreal signature smell which is pretty fine with me. I find it pretty convenient for usage and travel purpose. The shade “Matte for Me” is a bright neonish fuchsia to me which seems slightly tricky on my skin tone sometimes. Well, fuchsia is not my cup of tea. But this “Matte for Me” has subtle pink undertones.
I feel it will suit light/medium skin tone beauties with pink or neutral undertones the best! Even I find it very flattering on my skin after good makeup. 😛 However my concern is not the shade but its texture which comes out flaky and uneven at times unlike other shades from the same range. Even it looks slight powdery matte and drying even while swatching on hands. No matter how well we scrub or hydrate our lips, this shade will still look slightly flaky at times. It also explains that it is a serious skip for dry lips no matter what!
It does stay for decent 5-6 hours with no stain behind and easily washable as well. But I feel very conscious while wearing it on my lips. It might make our lips bit dry after a while hence we need a good lip balm under this shade. It does not settle into lip lines, but it has a tendency to sit on dry patches of lips giving an uneven finish. I won’t recommend it to beauties with dry and chapped lips and personally I am not convinced to get it again.
Let’s sum up pros and cons:
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Matte For Me Le Matte Lip Pen:
• A light-weight, matte neon fuchsia lip color
• It will compliment variety of Indian skin tones
• It stays put for good 5-6 hours on our lips
• It does not hydrate our lips, but it won’t accentuate dryness further except in few cases
• It does not settle into lip lines
• User friendly and travel friendly
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Matte For Me Le Matte Lip Pen:
• The texture and formula of this shade is tricky for normal dry lips
• Even the shade seems tricky for pale/light skin tones
• It has tendency to sit on dry patches of our lips
• It might make our lips dry after a while
Well, I feel this needs a skip from everyone irrespective of lip texture since the finish and formula are not very convenient to wear. I don’t think I am getting it again, though I like this fuchsia and might try the same shade in some other brand or range by L’Oreal.
