I love my matte liquid lipsticks, but after two years of living with chapped and dry lips, I am now ready for some lip glosses and satin lipsticks. L’Oréal recently came with a new range of “Colour Riche Shine” lipsticks as part of their spring 2018 collection. I purchased the shade “Lacquered strawberry,” and here comes the review of this lipstick.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Shine Lipstick Lacquered Strawberry:
Packaging: The L’Oréal Colour Riche Shine lipstick comes in a beautiful, transparent, sleek lipstick tube with a golden rim. The logo “L’Oréal” is embedded on this golden rim. The bottom of the lipstick specifies the name “Lacquered Strawberry.” The product comes in a beautiful holographic cardboard box. The lipstick has a transparent cap which clicks when shut. The packaging looks luxurious and travel friendly. Overall, I really love the packaging of this lipstick.
Shade and Finish: The shade “Lacquered Strawberry” is a beautiful magenta pink shade. This is a perfect spring summer shade. You can wear this lipstick for day time or night-time look. This shade will suit all Indian skin tones. The finish of the lipstick is super glossy and shiny.
Texture and Application: The texture of this lipstick is glossy, lightweight and super shiny. This lipstick is so smooth that it glides on my lips like butter. It feels very hydrating and doesn’t feather. The glossiness fades after an hour or two but the lipstick color stays back. The lipstick doesn’t feel heavy on the lips. There is no fragrance to this lipstick, which is a good thing. This lipstick gives a nice plumping effect to my lips. My lips look hydrated and juicy, which I love. This lipstick reminds me of the YSL Volupte Shine lipsticks for a fraction of the price.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It imparts full coverage even in one swipe even if the lips are pigmented.
Staying Power: The staying power is like any other regular lipstick. It stays on my lips for around 3 to 4 hours. It doesn’t survive meals and transfers easily when you drink water from a cup. However, you can easily reapply the lipstick.
Overall, I am really happy with the color payoff and texture of the lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with a makeup wipe.
