Today, I am going to review a lovely lip product from my collection, L’Oreal Paris Coral Tattoo Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain. I got this a while ago and had ditched this during fall and winter for deeper colours. Now that spring is rolling in, I thought I would start giving it some much needed attention.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Coral Tattoo Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain:

Packaging:
This comes in a gold square tube, which is thinner on one end. The other end opens with a wand that is slightly angled and teardrop-shaped. It also has a band of coral around it to indicate the shade. I always love it when this is done as it helps to get an idea of the shade. The teardrop has a dip to pick up the gloss and distribute it evenly.

Texture:
The texture goes on smooth and a little sticky. The stickiness vanishes within minutes of applying the gloss. My loose, open hair will NOT stick to the gloss, which is a huge plus for me. However, the shine is dialed down. It is very lightweight and quite comfortable on my lips. I can say that it is moisturizing as my lips do not get dried out after rubbing it off. It does not have a noticeable scent.

Shade:
Coral Tattoo is a beautiful, summery reddish-orange. It is bright and vibrant both in the swatch and on my lips. On the first coat, it is quite transparent. On the second coat, it gives medium coverage, but is still not 100% opaque. What I adore the most about this gloss is the gorgeous stain it leaves behind. It stains a soft orange-red. The shade, together with the stain wears about 4 hours on me. This stain is quite even and it doesn’t settle into my fine lines and does not crack either. It looks like I have applied a sheer layer of a matte lip colour.

I struggled really hard to come up with cons which means I love this product a lot! It’s a great fresh colour for spring.
